LETS MAKE UP OUR OWN TWISTS

TWIST 1
the weekly task on a saturday will be extended to one hour. the first half of the show will see the housemates participate in a group task. the twist will be that there will be a points system. the housemate who scores the highest amount of points will receive immunity from the following weeks nominations. the housemate with the least amount will be called to the diary room and told they must face an individual task. they will then enter the SECRET TASK ROOM. the other housemates can watch via the plasma screen. if they wi the individual task they will win a treat for the rest of the house. if they lose they will face automatic eviction and 12 hours solitary confinment in the task room with contstant sound and constant light.
the only way to escape confinement is if the other housemates agree to give up a luxury item, i.e hotwater, pillows. etc.

TWIST 2

on the launch night all but one of the housemates has entered the big brother house when Davina introduces us to this years biggest twist.

'THE BIG BROTHER PLANT'

The audience is let in on this major secret before the housemate enters.

throughut the course of the series the public can vote and decide what they want the 'plant' to do next (i.e. cause an arguement, spit up a harem, etc)

that way we would have complete control of events in the house. the plant would stay in for the rest of the series (if they get nominated for eviction those nominatins become void and are past down) in effect they are secretly immune.

They wouldn't have 12 hours solitary before being evicted. What would be the point? Hardly riveting viewing either.

I would like to see the rich/poor divide brought back for a while

But it would start on the first night. As they enter the hallway and the doors to the outside shut. They will face 2 doors into the house.

They will read an instruction laminate which will tell them to choose a credit card. 12 cards 6 rich 6 poor

That card is a keycard to one of the two doors into the house. They have to try the card in both doors. Whichever card they choose will enter them into the rich or poor side.

Each 3/4 days a task will be performed and whoever wins on the poor side will be allowed to cross into the rich side .....alternately the rich side task loser will have to go into the poor side or each winner and loser choose to take a HM with them.

You have immediately hacked off the poor side lot and panic will set in the rich side lot to not lose a task. Either way you get to see how competetive they all are.

I'd go with that, Rachel. However, I wouldn't use it for too long. I'd give it a spell of 3 weeks before pulling the divide down. We don't want too much rivalry straight away - we need a bit of friendship to lull each other into a false sense of security.

^^^ thats why i thought a 3/4 day turn round would be better than a week wait .... also can keep the viewers more interest to watch midweek

as if we need tempting lol

Actually rethinking .... dont even give them a pattern of a turn around .... random change over would be better to confuse them

yep i agree with that but keep all 12 for 3 weeks to get to know them better then they have the opportunity to do also do random evictions.

This years theme ... surprise surprise

I would like to see them enter the house and all of them(Like BB US last yeaR) all have a connection of some sort, but each housemate would know at least one of the other housemates.

We don't necesarily need a twist, we need good HM's, good tasks and good scenarios.
And we haven't had that from day one for a long time.

I agree, rachel............it's unlikely we'll get anything other than screeching me-me-me wannabees, so I like your idea of the rich-poor divide..........it will give a bit a structure rather than just watch them jostle for prime screechiness positions.

id love it if Big Brother and Endemol made the new housemates sign a publicity contract of some sort. Whereby, once they leave the house, they wont sign up for a record deal, a modelling contract, an autobiography for at least one solid year.

That way i think it would keep out freaks who just wanna have a record deal or be a tv presenter!!

Id also like Big Brother to be more and more evil than last year! Just by doing simple things, like, telling a house mate to cause an argument or they face eviction. Or telling a HM to steal another persons items. then calling the victim in after a view days and telling them who actually stole their items!

Back to the main point, I'd like to see one "Like We Did Last Summer"!

PS - The clue is in the subject.

how about they hide a mobile phone in the house with 3 minutes worth of talk time on it, you know whoever finds it is gonna use the 3 mins just for themselves, and when the other housemates find out, theres gonna be some bitchin'

or lock the housemates out of the house for 48 hours giving them nothing but a tent, a toaster, and 6 packs of bread (but no butter)

Give them a Pet, thats a nice twist, who said they have to be evil
