What happened to Tesco wafer ham all of a sudden ?
Just curious if it is the same nationwide, but in the Tescos around my area of Dorset they have all stopped selling their purple branded wafer thin ham, non-flavoured. The entire ham rack is now full of honey roast wafer ham, which before was just one of 3 options, normal, smoked, and honey roast. They have even reduced the smoked ham down to a tiny pack barely visible on the shelf. But oddly they don't sell standard wafer thin ham anymore at all in any size, in their own purple range at least. Why fill the racks with honey roast and remove normal and smoked ? Shame I don't like the taste of honey roast as I would be well happy.
I know people will just reply about how crap processed ham is, but hey, I like it. Anyone know how best to contact Tesco to ask them ? |

I don't know but as an aside can I recommend the boxes of ham trimmings from ALDI for £1.65.
Loads of meat and they have cooked ham, breaded ham and smoked ham. The smoked ham is lovely. |

I recommend the 99p stores ham. Again plain cooked, breaded or honey roast 200g for 99p. It's supposed to be trimmings but I usually get some really nice slices in the packs.
Sorry can't help you with the Tesco's ham. |

Thanks all. Yeah, seems weird, a massive shelf full of honey roast, taking up multiple sections. I know they were cutting back on brands but I assumed not their own, and not in place of the standard default "plain" choice. I guess they sell more honey roast, but god knows why.

They have cut out quite a lot of products.
I liked their wasabi peanuts (not coated, just spiced) but after failing to find them in several stores I asked, and was told that it was one of many things that had been recently dropped. |
