16 [16] Diane Sugden - Round 3 - 9.45%
Ranking History (08-13-11-16-16)
Diane manages to re-claim 16th place - her worst ranking, but not a bad one at all. We've seen a lot more of Diane recently, what with Chas stabbing her and the cancer. Normally she serves a pint in the pub before flying off to see some relative for six months. She's not done bad in this competition over the years considering she doesn't feature all that heavily. I guess it just shows that sometimes if you're a decent, solid character, that it can win out over the more over-exposed characters. Good to know.
15 [13] Finn Barton - Round 3 - 9.73%

Finn takes a fall but I'm surprised it's only by two, to be honest. I do like Finn, but top 15, really? Not sure about that. I think maybe his ranking is based on potential... but will we ever get to see it?

14 [33] Ashley Thomas - Round 3 - 9.97%
Ranking History (37-18-56-33-14)
Up next is Ashley who takes another massive climb up the rankings, achieving his best ranking to date. Deservedly so. Stuart Blackburn absolutely destroyed the Thomas family, and even though it's a sort of bittersweet ending for them with Ashley's storyline, I'm glad they've been able to be somewhat redeemed. I honestly thought Laurel was at the point of no return a long time ago and had given up on her, whilst Ashley beating Sandy, I just couldn't buy... both hit rock bottom but it's nice to see them making a comeback. Personally, I'd have preferred it if they didn't get back together because too much has happened, but overall, I'm happy and I think both characters have had a successful year - on the show and in this competition!
13 [26] Chrissie White - Round 3 - 10.21%

Chrissie climbs 13 places and just misses out on a place in the semi-final. I was reading some of my opinions earlier on the 2015 results thread, and I said I hated Chrissie... Oh, how things have changed! I absolutely adore her now and like I said before, I hope we see more of the White's because they've really been coming into their own recently and are fitting in well.

but this being a poll for Fave Characters, don't the finalists at least have a reprieve just this once since they are in essence the best loved by most voters/forumers?

Last year I told myself to be nice to the finalists because they were... finalists.
I was nice to Chas (10th place) before my temper got the better of me and I was horrible about pretty much the top four (Ross, Cain, Aaron and Robert)
It's only my opinion - I disliked the top four last year, didn't stop them being the top four. Everyone else is free to express their dislike or love for the characters in the thread, too.
The positions speak for themselves, no amount of ranting from me will change that, so I hope it doesn't spoil the results for anyone, but I've noted your comments and will try and reign myself in from full on raging about the top 10
