Displaying tablet content on tv screen?

I have a 5 year old Samsung smart tv that is connected to my home network. It has Allshare built in and DNLA.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone and a 10.1" Galaxy tab 3 tablet.
Is it possible to get Facebook on either the tablet or the phone and have it displayed on the tv screen please?
I also have a Raspberry Pi 2, A Humax HDR-T2 box and a Now TV box connected to the network and the TV if they can be used to achieve this.
Thanks for any replies.

If it's a smart TV it probably has its own Facebook app built into it anyway.

I know my two Smart TVs (one LG, one Panasonic) do. And according to this website

Samsung Smart TVs do too.

Thanks,

No Facebook app sadly and the Youtube app stopped working last year due to becoming unsupported

Have a look on the apps pages, there could be a mirror/casting app there, you may need to sync your tablet/phone up with that.

Ok, I will check for an app like that,

failing that, do you think this would work?

Does your TV and tablet not already support Miracast?

I'd spend a little more money on a proper ChromeCast stick.

If you've got a Raspberry Pi, why do you not just connect that to the TV and display Facebook via the browser on that?
Or are you looking for a wireless solution?
