I have the above box as well as the new freeplay box. My problem is with the hdr1000s when it's left unused for a period time I have to unplug the power cable to to b able to switch it on. I thought was a niggle so thought I set a power on and off daily and test still hasn't worked I am still having to unplug the power before I can switch it on. Any help advice would be great.

Thanks
Mark

Try booting the box by pressing zero three times rather than the power key on the remote.

If that doesn't help try a reset to factory defaults (make a note or photograph your recording schedule first as you will have to re-enter it).

Can you post which version of software you have on the box.

I don't have a recording schedule lol as it's an overflow recorder now since I got the freeplay box. But it's just nice to know I can rely on it, well could rely on it lol

Software version is UKSFAA 3.00.20, loader version UKSFAA 1.08

I installed this when was beta test for the Netflix app

Also the box won't even boot when press the power button on the machine. I will try the 3 zeroes next time happens

If Grahams suggestions don't yield results you can also try turning off whatever your TV manufacturer calls HDMI-CEC on the TV.

You have the latest software. Mine can be a bit temperamental when booting (even using the power switch on the unit). It always fires up though using the zeros trick. You can check if it's a CEC issue (as suggested by Repassac) by removing the hdmi cable from the unit next time it plays up and see if it then boots.

My 1100s has just started doing this today when i power it on via the remote, it starts up and just hangs (with the blue light on, black screen on Tv), have to unplug the power lead and replug for it to come on (as when trying to turn it back off via remote, it does nothing), software version is 3.00.20, and Loader Version is 1.09.

Looks like the latest update is the cause to me, as just been reading the Humax forum, and this 3.00.20 update, started coming OTA from the 23rd Feb, the way i'll have gotten it, as i don't have my box connected to the internet.

I may have found a way around it, i put my Tv on first this morning, before the box, and the box came on fine without issue.

I normally just put the box on via the remote, and when it starts to boot up, my Tv automatically comes on too.

Sounds like you have Viera Link enabled - causes more trouble than it's worth. First thing I always do with my Panasonic kit is disable all references to Viera Link.
