Not surprised at all. He's not everyones cup of tea, and some on here have issues with his style, but on the whole its good entertainment. He doesn't handle every subject well, ( He has no understanding whatsoever of teenage sexual feelings for example, a debate he had some time ago on this subject had me screaming at him!! I would rather have someone who has strong opinions handling the microphone, than someone who never challenges the caller. And he balances the Ferrari output!

There will be loads of coverage of these issues on LBC and elsewhere over the coming weeks but, as you say, facts have been in short supply.
This article might help dispel some of the many myths:

LOL . Where else would I go for impartiality but to a Labour MEP who's been on the European gravy train for his entire political life.

As I've said before, my daily LBC listening consists of Nick Ferrari and Iain Dale. Ferrari was talking about the EU all morning and now Dale is talking about it too! I've had enough of conversations about the EU already and there's still 3 months to go. ARRRRGH!

Excellent James O'Brien monitoring today Mike. Always good to look at what classic O'Brien clichés I've missed as I get in from work.

Not a single comment on Shelagh Fogerty's show today though? Did she bore you to sleep?

Yes and good for him
Be interesting to see how he fares against JHB when talk radio starts
He's obviously going nowhere anytime soon
There'll be a few disappointed about that I'd imagine

Glad we share the same views .. I'd imagine his appearances on Newsnight Watchdog and the like have encouraged people to seek out his shows on LBC

I'm going to compare and contrast
There is to be a listen again service on talk radio
They mentioned it on their Twitter feed
I'm hoping that it may be free
I know the Talksport one was as I used to make use of it to listen to the very excellent Mike Graham when he presented his non sport overnight show

Not vey keen on him used to be before he heckled a regular caller carl from plaistow and called him an Alcoholic on air i thought that was just nasty.

Even if Carl had wound him up he had the last nasty word without letting Carl have a comeback.

He disgusted me.

Former LBC presenter JHB has more class in her little finger.

The Horse-Startler began her show with the question "Would a vote to leave the EU be a vote for Boris to be Prime Minister?"

Er no, Foggerty, you foolish woman. People will be voting about whether they want to leave the EU or not.

Meanwhile the turnout is always very high shortly after her programme starts, with people voting for CLICKY OFF.

James O'Brien must have been frustrated that he had not deployed in time the "Goodbye Caller" weapon that he always has on standby.

I was not aware of that and must say that I'm amazed and rather disappointed in Mike
I can only think he must have been having an exceptionally bad night though of course that's no excuse
As the old saying goes there but for the grace of God go I
I've never made any secret of the fact that ten years ago after I'd helped nurse my mum through ovarian cancer ..a battle she sadly lost with the help of good friends and family I was able to stop myself going down that route as I had somewhat gone off the rails
I'm NOT asking for sympathy just saying it's an easier route to go down than many realise

I remember Jerry Hayes when he used to be on the late night James Whale's TV shows. He was a cantancorous fool then. Fool of bluster. He cropped up on Question Time a couple of years ago and he was still just as bad!

I wonder if Brian is friends with Benedict Cumberbatch or Emma Thompson? All ridiculous champagne socialists.

I couldn't face Socialist Shelagh Widdecombe and her hand wringing today so went for a rather pleasant lunch.

The aspirational, estuary accented Mrs Brian would love to be matey with these top level champagne socialists but at the moment they have to make do with the bedwetter from The Vamps. Rather disappointing.

Clive Bull is leading the way with EU referendum discussion . No surprise. Clive is such an experienced presenter.

Yes all the best to her.

I had brain surgery 8 years ago at the age of 42, after being struck by a car in a road accident whilst out running. They were unable to save my olfactory nerve so I no longer have the sense of taste or smell. I befriended the chap next to me in Queen's Square neurological hospital who was epileptic and in for similar to Katie. He came in two days after me and was out two days before me. A dear chap who was all of 21. Post Op. he claimed it made all the difference but I have no idea how he got on.

All I remember is the terrible headaches and the morphine I needed to help me recover. I did get a bit of a brow lift though where they sewed the skin above my receding hairline back up. My eyebrows no longer work either - more nerve damage as a side effect of the surgery - which gives the appearance of constant botox.

I second that. She's a pain but she's still a human being.
