Khan received more votes than any politician in history.
What about Barack Obama? He got over 50,000,000 votes in his 2012 Presidential Campaign.

Anything anti Muslim Ferrari will mention it.....as someone said recently Ferrari could care less about children in the UK, as soon as it's mentioned 3000 child refugees are coming here.....cue NF saying until al British kids are adopted, no Muslim children would be allowed.....so basically never.....a shame he can't one day be repatriated to his father's homeland....then again Italy has Fascists...

Once a Sun journalist, always a scum journalist.

They're expecting a result around midnight when they've sorted out some 'voting discrepancies'. 130% turnout in Tower Hamlets again?

How I wish Ferrari was on at a time I could listen more. He's handling this delay to the announcement with a delightful mix of cynicism, world weariness and humour.

The highlight of the Mayoral election for me was Georgie Porgy getting beaten by Sophie Walker of the Women's Equality Party.

He should now quit politics for good and become a radio presenter on TalkRadio with his best friend - JHB.

I live up in the NW and don't give a stuff who the London Mayor is. I suppose we will get wall to wall coverage throughout the weekend as well. Very tedious

Times like this you wonder how LBC can call it's self a national station

Are you someone like myself who tuned in to listen to Nick Abbot?

Quite why they needed to keep Nick Ferrari on the air is beyond me. They could just cross back to a reporter when the result was announced and leave Nick Abbot to do his show

That is what any half-decent national station would do. Then again, LBC try to pretend that they're a national station but everyone knows that the L in their name still stands for London rather than Leading

I was shocked and appalled by the number of callers and people emailing Cristo overnight expressing either subtle or blatantly racist and islamophobic opinions over the news that we now have a Muslim mayor. The decisive election result shows it's a minority view but it LBC callers are representative of London, it seems like it's a view shared by a significant number of people.

I suppose Nick F wanted to be there for the results so keep
him on air. I know what would say Nick Abbott could have come on air and crossed over when results were announced. Good job Nick F did as he's in for breakfast this morning from 7.

Poor Nick though. Looking at his twitter it seems that he expected his show to start earlier than usual. Instead it got cancelled. I guess it will give him more topics to talk about tonight

'Tonight I will cycle by Boris Johnson and call him a ***** *****. Full details at...or even before 10pm. Special early start possible.'

It's Crick and Mellor at 10am. I'm almost disappointed it's not Ken. He's probably worn out from racing around the TV and radio studios. It's a running joke on Twitter that he can't stop talking about Hitler.

Morning all.

Never heard any of that but take heart from the result which truly reflects the majority view in London. People who phone radio stations in the middle of the night are a tiny minority.

Just below 30% turnout. Hardly a majority view. 70% don't give a toss!

More votes than the beloved Boris.
My goodness the callers after 8 am seem to be so upset. Good.

Nick Ferrari has done nothing but defend Sadiq Khan against Islamophobic callers while admitting he was more right-wing. He stressed to one ranting caller that the new Mayor was born in this country so "he's not going to fly the black flag above the Town Hall, "or have people turning up in bare feet".
IMO Nick was splendid at fending off prejudiced callers with humour and aplomb.

The turnout was 46%, the highest ever in a London Mayoral election so clearly a lot of people do care.

This is exactly what most of the people who hate Nick choose to ignore. If someone is blatantly anti-Islam he gives them what for.
