Lucy Beresford's contribution towards an otherwise serious news station seems totally out of kilter? Could this be a reason why some of us find her musings hilarious by stark comparison? Bet I don't get an answer..

I don't listen. She clashes with Casualty.

I agree with Nick Abbot on not voting for Zac Goldsmith, "he's another millionaire toff". I can understand him not voting for another Etonian. I don't think they really relate to everyday people/electorates - putting aside any political preferences.

She's far more amusing than any soap, imho.

I don't listen to her either - nor to Bev, Katie Wotsit, SA, Jim O'B.

That's just ruined my and VQ's day. Thank goodness it's not Twitter and you can't post a selfie of your knees.

Morning all.

LBC's newsreader keeps telling us that the horrendous wild fires in Canada are now raging over an area twice the size of the City of London. Surely that's not what he really means. The city of London is otherwise known as the Square Mile. I understood that the fires were covering many hundreds of square miles.
I know what they really mean, of course, but it's a bit sloppy for a London based station.

Just sick of the continued London centric approach of LBC - despite it supposedly being a national station these days. In the early hours, I got so fed up of Darren Adam harping on about all things London - I emailed the show then switched over to the World Service
I realise the Mayoral election is still hot but this not just a one off.
Earth calling LBC - time to realise that most of the UK doesn't actually live in London!

The station is in the heart of London, the presenters I presume all live in and around London they ain't gonna be talking about things that happen in or effect Scunthorpe or Selsey that much. Face it, it's a London Ting.

OMG Lucy Beresford is talking on losing 'one's' virginity.

Phew, I guess any advice on that subject is a bit late for us

LBC are still on & on about the new mayor's Muslim status. They say it is irrelevant - yet, discuss the subject endlessly

Enjoy your nice weather x

Stig back on his old hobby horse of legalising Cannabis and one of his arguments was that consumption of sugar is legal but does a lot of harm.
However he went further than usual and said he was also in flavour of legalising hard drugs.
Sounds as if he has been endulging in substances, and I don't mean sugar.

I honestly don't think it has ever been tagged that way, as far as I am aware LBC is a London station to which the rest of the country has access (on DAB).

Dunno Ven. Using the headline of Leading Britain Conversation is selling itself as a national station.

Haha... mind you I should think the majority of Beresford's audience were in the same boat barring nuns or monks of course.

Don't they bang on all the time. Stig Abel couldn't leave the 'Muslim' mayor alone and even extended his questioning to, "do we still have a problem with skin colour"?! When London has been multicultural for yonks, I could only but think Stig was either scrapping the barrel or he's a lazy broadcaster.

Switched on LBC just after 9 am and guess what NF is talking about? Posters on buses advertising a Muslim charity.

I doubt if he's the only one talking about it, as it features in the newspapers. And he doesn't seem to be bothered by it. We could post that you're again talking about Nick talking about Muslims.

Morning all.

He's one of those numpties who thinks legalising a narcotic somehow magics away all the harm they do. Because obviously thats worked well for alcohol hasn't it. "But no more illegal suppliers!" he'd squeak. Right, because there's no such thing as cigarrette or booze smugglers either.

I am talking about what I hear on LBC. Just so happens that LBC are banging on yet again about Muslims. Sure it will be in the papers. Ask why.
