One of the original journalists who was with LBC at the start, Ian Rufus has died.

Precisely. That's why I thought it was a waste of an hour twice last week of Iain Dale's show talking about non issues like women going to work in high heels, or golf club membership policies. These stories were regurgitated several different times on different shows too. I had to keep switching off, which I do every quarter of an hour for five minutes anyway.

Nick has just alluded to this news story. (There were 4 of these dogs in the house.)
A truly horrific account:

All the posts about the elderly father & his teenage daughter of 30 years, ago, have been removed.

I wish the mods would get in touch as for the reason why. That is - if, not obvious, eg. rudeness/swearing etc.

It would seem the posts of posters who thought was a dodgy thing to do have been left - only posts of people who disagreed have been removed. I think that says rather a lot about the judgement or just plain bias of the moderators on here.

It'll be interesting to see if they've got the nuts to stomach criticism of themselves or whether this post will be deleted too.

Odd bit of moderating ...

And yes, these posts will be removed too

Can't see that ever so polite Katie Hopkins will be having Boris on as a guest any time soon.
Over four weeks to go til the referendum but the wheels are coming off the Brexit wagon.
The callers on June 24th are going to be spectacular!

NF pushing his anti foreign aid agenda again.... apparently 20,000 people died in the UK last winter and would have been saved had we paid their heating bills....

So NF says let's stop old people dying....before we help anyone overseas....well as a son of an immigrant he doesn't seem to like foreigners much.

Woke to hear Steve fulminating about ripped jeans. They've been around for several decades. Where's he been? I agree with him about 'man buns' though.

Morning all.

You're confusing patriotism and xenophobia. The former is loving one's country - the latter is hating everybody else's.

He made the analogy between feeding your own children, before feeding a neighbour's children. Would you feed a neighbour's children before your own?

Really? And there was me thinking it was the Remain camp becoming desperate with their economic forecasts plucked out their backsides and tragically naff video appeal to the "yoof".

Then you should be ashamed of yourself for not putting your own kids first. I feel sorry for them.

That's very charitable of you. Would you continue to do that, if you found that they were binning the food or selling it on for a profit? Also, what would happen when all the neighbours want you to help them?

Get this back to NF and the first response to spending is to point at the foreign aid budget.
It accounts for less than 1% of government spending. Yet Ferrari sees it as a cure for every spending shortfall in the UK. That is on the days he thinks people need help. Most times NF thinks there are no poor people in Britain.

Yeah, only 1%, thats "only" 10 billion being thrown at basket case countries where it'll either find its way into the pockets of corrupt local officials or be spent on non aid related goods such as weapons. Oh, but some of it might go on pop bands in ethiopia and so on.
All so bleeding heart liberals (and I include plenty of conservatives in this) can feel good about themselves with their consciences suitably assuaged.

I wonder how many new hospitals, schools or homes could be built for 10 billion... Oh, but hold on - we don't have the money for all that we're told...

Well I would agree that Nick uses the aid budget to suit his argument. However, I can understand why this topic keeps cropping up.
