Good show so far from J O'B. He's managing to keep his head and sounds quite sensible for a change.

Did you hear Collette the caller about M&.S? She was quality, LBC should drop Hopkins and give her a gig instead!

I rarely register caller's names. Was she the one who listed every item of clothing she wore from M&S? She went on and on; James could barely get a word in.

I was driving and heard her. She was something special, wasn't she?

What Ferrari is saying is that older people who have paid tax for decades are being let down in their time of need because of austerity measures whilst we can still supposedly afford to send billions of pounds to fund Nigerian pop singers and Indian space missions. It's a national disgrace.

£10-12 BILLION POUNDS is a lot of money. 1% of all GDP is crazy- far higher than almost any other country in the world. When money is scarce and austerity is killing people, it's a disgrace to not help our own citizens when in need and instead fund other countries' vanity projects.

It used to be the case if you asked someone to take off all M&S clothes, they would probably be standing virtually naked

Rather hear music than ads. Radio ads these days can be very tedious.

I tend to agree in principle. You have to batten down the hatches and look to your own in times of austerity.

Our elevated, more vote-crazy politicians have a lot to answer for in playing the proverbial 'Mr Nice, politically correct card' to a world audience to receive our funds. When you consider for instance, older people who have paid their taxes for years on end are being so compromised/let-down by the NHS, who are inundated with immigrants for fact; there has to be a total imbalance.

In practical terms, shouldn't 'charity begin at home' as a matter of principle? If not, please tell otherwise....

It would be more logical for her to replace James O'Brien. After all it would help improve the gender balance on LBC.

I suspect the rest of the world just laughs at us behind our backs. I'm damn sure India was when it was still cashing our aid cheques while simultaniously funding its space program and maintaining its nuclear weapons. The utter naive f*ckwittery exhibited by politicians on all sides over foreign aid just beggars belief frankly and other hand wringing useful idiots backing it up by claiming its "only" 1% of GDP just makes me wonder if someone is doping parts of the water supply in the UK with muppet pills at the moment.

Well said Mr Bolter, I like your posts. It's good to hear some common sense spoken in this crazy world of political correctness.

The BMA have been well and truly caught out with this WhatsApp story. Iain Dale is loving it and he did a good job grilling the inept BMA representative who was floundering when trying to explain how for 5 months the Junior Doctors have said their dispute was about patient safety yet now the head of the BMA has said it's all about pay.

I very much doubt James O'Brien will dare to have another phone-in on this subject. Doctors well and truly in the wrong on this one as they've been lying to the public. Bit hard to convince the public that the Doctors are "on our side" now, isn't it?

Always like to support the posts I like. Sitting back in silence not saying anything doesn't help anyone. I should probably apologise for the typo too Mr Boltar while I am at it!

Yes I heard that too Chief. Credit to Iain Dale, I heard many calls on his show saying it wasn't about pay. Now the BMA have been well and truly caught out.

First class interview with David Blunkett on tonight's show too, well done Iain.

Oh dear, it looks fairly damning for the BMA. How misleading when junior doctors gave the impression that patient safety was the core of the dispute when really it's a matter of money . Perhaps they're just reflecting a major severance/flaw within the system; the fat cat administrators within the NHS versus the perceived underlings.

Speak for yourself.

If the Wendy's opposite Harrods is no longer there that will be major news for me.

I still miss Arby's from The Haymarket. Closed years ago, but wish they'd come back to the UK.

I thought there was one in Mill Hill Broadway, NW London. I will have to have a look next time I am passing.
