Ferrari got really wound up on The Pledge last night on the subject of foreign aid right at the end. So much so he was actually ranting angrily (spitting blood would be the metaphore), he was even swearing. He ended up sitting in silence when they wrapped up and ran the titles. You could see the lights dimming as they sat round the table with Ferrari holding back. Must have been a very embarassing silence.
Fair play to him though.

Congrats to the BMA on this - not only have they risked patients lives with the pointless strikes, the government hasn't budged as expected and the BMAs reputation has been pretty well trashed by this. They started out as a well respected association for professionals and now they're well and truly languishing in the reputational dustbin as medacious troublemakers alongside unions such as the RMT. Who they probably cribbed their tactics from.

I hope JOB enjoys his day off - I know I will.

He is now 13 minutes into a rant about Donald Trump and hasn't taken a breath yet. If he wins the Presidency in November he will probably self combust in outrage.

He is ranting on about narcissistic sociopaths now - is there a mirror in his studio?

Thank heavens the traffic news!

He is talking over the callers with great enthusiasm as if he is the only one who knows anything about Trump - even American callers. JOB's ego knows no bounds.

While I think Trump would eventually be a disaster (Clinton also tbh), part of me hopes for him to win just so I can have a good laugh watching all these self righteous bein pensant liberal numpties like JoB having to suck it up.

He's managed to draw a few vague parallels with Mr Farridge. I have no time for Trump but it would be worth having him win in November just to watch the lefties succumbing to exploding blood vessels and choking on foaming fits. I'm not enamoured of Clinton either; she's just as bad a prospect in her own way. Pray for the entire world, whoever wins.

A Trump victory in November or a remain vote next month.
I know which one I would bet on to send the LBC rage meter off the scale.

James filled his boots regarding that EU referendum poster - for the second day running

My head is aching. I think that he lives in his own little bubble with his perceived 'underdogs.'

Happy weekend to All x

The register to vote poster is what he was talking about.

The "lefties" Don't have a dog in the U.S presidential race... One party is very right wing, and the other is ultra right wing. (By UK standards))

Let me guess , he didn't see a problem with it and proceeded to say how it represented a fair and balanced view of life in the present day UK and was in no way stereotyping or being outright racist towards whites because whites are the majority and therefor cannoy be discriminated against?

Wonder how our little liberal friend would go for an "Operation White Vote" campaign with an angry black man shouting at a little old white lady?

I am white and do not feel that poster was in any way racist towards me.

I think if you listen to the guy responsible it seems to be to get people to register to vote Remain.

No thought about the impact which mass uncontrolled immigration from the EU has had on young Black and Pakistsni and Bengali men who in London have approaching 40 per cent plus unemployment rates. I suppose no jobs, no prospects and no ability to afford to move out of your parents home is a price worth paying.

immigration hasnt been mass / uncontrolled. its been a strategic rebalance of the population whose aged people outnumber the young productive members of society.
calling in youthful people skilled or otherwise means more productivity ( ££ ) and cuts the cost of having to train the native ( not very bright ) population.

Whose backside did you pluck that out of? Pensioners only accounted for 18% of the population in 2014. 0-15 was 19% so there are plenty of young brits soon to enter the job market.

Ah, the natives are stupid argument. Are you including yourself in that? You should.

the way i see it : the image is perceived as of a white native self styled 'patriot' berating a passive brown asian 'immigrant' (the 'other').

its asking the viewer to choose sides. pro 'immigrant' ( 'other' ). pro anti immigrant 'patriot'.

its the whole eu debate viewed with brexit eyes as perceived from a non brexit point of view.

that 18% dont add significantly to the gdp. the youth do. it is the fact that the population is so unbalanced that immigration is being used to resolve the economics. the economic growth that we've witnessed is in part due to immigration.

its why despite the far right - in germany the government made a strategic decision to accept 1 million refugees. it was not an act of altruism.

fact remains brits are poorly trained - if they are trained at all - and academically fall short of the standards required whilst wanting to be paid top money.

blair/thatcher/cameron aim has always been to model uk economy on that of hong kong ie services + financial sector with welfare/employment & privatisation practices based on the usa model

If by "resolve the economics" you mean drive down average wages for the working classes so companies can make more profit , then sure. Oh, but our masters gave us the minimum wage just stop their decisions having the inevitable consequence of making blue collar wage rates go through the floor. Which would be VERY bad for votes. How magnanimous of them.

Rubbish. If they needed that many people they could have let in waves of skilled turks at anytime who'd be more than willing rather than a bunch of unskilled arabs. Merkals decision was driven by the usual german war guilt that her generation suffers from mixed up with her christian beliefs and arrogance, but all she's succeeded in doing is proving the old adage of "the road to hell ... " etc.

The fact remains you're pig ignorant about the young people in this country. Sure there are wasters and idiots, but go to eastern europe and you'll see plenty of them too. Usually supping from a beer can on a bench if not already passed out.

Ken Livingstone will not be returning to LBC after the end of his contract.

I don't know if it is due to end shortly, but if not I suspect he is on 'gardening leave'.

Nice to see him on the receiving end of this sort of knee jerk political correctness and intolerance of (admittedly stupid) personal views that deviate from the official line for a change, after he spent most of his years at the GLC inflicting it on others. You reap what you sow.

As an aside, don't even bother listening to the tedious rubbish on LBC on a saturday morning, Penny Smith on talkRadio is far better or james whale on BBC Kent if you're in that neck of the woods.
