David Icke, Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage & George Galloway.
How's that for a formidable line-up for the 'Out' campaign.

The Europhiles must be thinking Christmas has come early.
There are easy targets on both sides of the argument. Equally there are people whose opinion is to be respected on both sides.

No i will not be seeing them too near the download festival at castle donnington with the mighty Iron Maiden Mike.

I was really put off Mike Graham by his rudeness to callers really used to like him, besides its an all sports show at night so i am out.
Fantastic, going to Download all weekend or just the Maiden day? Sure it will be a great concert.

Any fans of Darren Adam? He seems to have settled in well and considering he is straight jacketed by Global, is an entertaining listen.

John from Swansea has moved to Liverpool. Says Ian Collins is "just like James O'Brien". Ian Collins says he has never felt so insulted. It was a mad call. I expect to hear John on Talk Radio the day it launches.

Any fans of Darren Adam?
I wouldn't call myself a fan, or say he is one of the best presenters I've ever heard on LBC, but I think he should be on on Sunday afternoons instead of Tom.

Very sorry to hear that one of my regular @LBC callers, Karl in Plaistow, has died. A real old leftie, I enjoyed my jousts with him.

That is very very sad news he had a life and a half and i really would like to have met him in real life. RIP Karl you will be missed.
Karl was the son of Annie Maguire who was a political and social activist in the first two decades of the 20th century. She helped many workers who were making munitions for the war effort who were working in appalling conditions and very often not paid.
She was a close associate of John McLean who did so much for poor people in Glasgow and Clyde side.
Karl had a good teacher and I used to enjoy his calls to GG a lot. RIP wee man.

Karl was 8n his 80s I think. Not sure how old Annie was when she had him.

Correction! Sorry I got mistaken. Karl was her grandson. Apologies for duff info earlier.

Ah, thought that might be the case. Even so, he did well to last so long, given his self-confessed attachment to booze and wacky baccy!

Morning all.

Thanks for that, his call he made to Matt Forde is one of my favourite calls of all time. He's a complete fruitcake but he's entertaining despite being a ****. Hope he phones Iain Lee when talk radio launches, that would be a entertaining listen.

What sort of redneck cops were those in North Wales who decided to run over a dog with their vehicle? LBC giving a fair bit of time to this story.

As you say thought provoking radio and why I can't see James going anywhere soon
LBC have a safe pair of hands there

James is, often, excellent at human stories. Yesterday's Care topic, being an example.

However, political topics..........Nooooooooooooooo

We are discussing Trump, today - or, rather James is - his soliloquy is ongoing.

Happy Wednesday to All x

JOB made a good point. The time for treating Trump as a pantomime is past. Time to be concerned that this man will be a candidate for the most powerful position on the planet.

I would say that caller Robyn from Brum who disagreed with JOB got nearly ten minutes.

In spite of all the time, still could not formulate an intelligible argument.

10 minutes that was mostly James talking and asking them to answer his question - would love to know what percentage of the hour, minus news and traffic, is James talking

Seems almost pointless to say but that call was about 50/50. BTW The show is called the JOB show so he is going to talk a lot. That is his job.

If anyone can formulate an intellegent argument in support of Trump and why he should be President of the US I would love to hear it. Somehow I doubt it will be on LBC. Or anywhere else.
