This was before tinterweb so unless I came to London I couldn't hear LBC
So just wondered with all the chat on here about accents did LBC employ any ?”

I don't know if the God of Bad Radio's gift to Mankind, Jono Coleman, counts. He's English born but was raised in Oz. He did the 10-1 morning slot back in the Crysalis days. Thankfully he didn't occupy it for long.

Alec Salmond challenging Boris to a debate on LBC. That may be interesting.

Ian Dale has not got much clue about Scottish politics. The question of another indy ref in the event of a UK leave vote was dealt with at the GE last year. The mandate won was overwhelming.

He's strongly rumoured to be coming back with the reborn Virgin Radio
I did hear him on there with Russ Williams but wouldn't like to comment on how he performs in an all talk situation
He seemed reasonable as a side kick

If the UK exits the EU and Scotland exits the UK, they would have to apply for re-entry under Article 49, which would treat them as a new applicant. It could take years before they are re-admitted.

It is complicated but there may be a way for Scotland to remain in the EU and England leave. Is all untested ground and would take place during the two year Brexit period of negotiation.

Indeed it is
Thanks Martin I didn't know that either
Wonder if he is related to the even more wonderfully named ATHOL Guy
He's the bass player of The Seekers
The Aussie group whose singer Judith Durham has still got one of the most exquisite voices on this earth in my humble opinion
Sorry slightly off topic there

Ian Dale needs to remember that Cameron signed the vow promising to keep the BF. No point crying that it's not fair now.

Maybe Ian Dale is having a bad day but his ignorance on Scottish politics is incredible. God knows what he was coming out with during the indy ref but if it was like his performance today then it must have been funny.

Is it just me who thinks about turning LBC off when Salmond is on?

By rights the PC brigade should be jumping up and down about this, but of course
Brian being known for some of the liberal views he sometimes conveys he seems to get away with it. Perhaps he should try 'swarms' or 'a bunches' of migrants next to see if he gets away with it.

Yes but only because the adverts are so irritating. He's actually quite a good orator apart from being a bit too smug.

The EU is steeped in 'ye ole stuffy bureaucracy. There's nothing like being controlled by these officials, akin to a regime offered by the Argentine junta surely?

I do!. The man is insufferable. Really full of his own self importance.

I don't listen to his hour. The Media Show on Radio 4 takes up half of that time slot so I wouldn't listen who ever was on.

I don't think the Junta are elected either are they, military despots?

Cayce! You've not been on here for a few days. I was beginning to think maybe you'd gone on holiday.

Strangely my response to this has disappeared.

Poetic licence perhaps Nosedive , with my reference to the Argentine junta. I see the EU as 'a bunch' of intransigent officials, they're so uncompromising - like 'a swarm' of self-appointed rulers. Will that do instead?

My broadband has been down, there was a glitch in the BT network.

The original thread was locked due to trolling and the thread I started to discuss Brian and his champagne socialism and pomposity was deleted. No idea why. Onwards to Ian Collins at 10pm tonight though!
