Tomorrow’s front page of The Times: Police conspired to protect Rotherham child sex abusers.

It's going to be interesting to see how LBC and particularly Brian discusses this story tomorrow. The last time he blamed the "far right" for "crying wolf". This could well be the famous Liberal Metropolitan Elite in action.

Ian Collins doing a brilliant job discussing this and the Leicester Square hostage situation tonight. First class radio.

Sherlock Holmes may be available. It is uncanny how he is able to find the Common Denominator linking two events.

Duncan Barkes on BBC Radio London has announced that long time LBC & Talksport caller Karl from Plaistow has passed away.

ISTR he got married and moved away from London, I remember his entertaining calls to Steve Jones every weekend breakfast.

That is just wrong. JOB was reading the conclusion from the Smith review.

If they don't feel guilty, why are they over-compensating by hurling unfounded accusations at anybody who worked for them in the 70s? Ie Tony Blackburn, Cliff Richard? (slight exaggeration)

Morning all.

Yes. That post was just wrong.
But it is always impressive when a forum member is able to correctly identify the presenter currently on air and to avoid any surname/forename confusion.

Wow, that was a really sinister story from the caller whose father was Savile's producer.

I would imagine that the callers who start with the, "How are you?" - are saying that because of nerves. It gives them time to gather their thoughts.

I have a lot of time for the presenters who understand that & put them at their ease. I have noticed that IC is one of those.....James is, often, not, depending on whether he is on his high horse

Recollections of JS, today. An interesting hour. When JO'B is good, he is very, very good.............

Happy Thursday to you All x

Yeah, when she said she got a call from a stranger saying her dad was in a coma. She was just eleven at the time. Did you think that she still sounds in some sort of state of shock and disbelief about the whole horrible thing?

She said she'd forgotten about it until the scandal came to light. Must have given her a jolt when she realised the significance of the call.

There are plenty of unelected officials in a position of legislative power in the UK. Like the archaic House of Lords for instance

It could be argued that we invented the concept and are amongst the last in the developed West to part with it.

And we have plenty of bureaucrats (civil servants) too. Many more than those paid by EU institutions in fact.

Brian absolutely loves the BBC. He is desperate to work for them at any cost. Almost as much as he wants to write more than just computer games reviews for the Daily Mail.

Nope, in my opinion James O'Brien was supporting the conclusion. You may not think so but that is your opinion rather than me being "wrong".

How does a presenter reading a report somehow means he supports what he was reading?

Lol, good on you Cayce! Glad to see you're not too finicky about being PC!

I'll be tuned in
By the way Slightly off topic but as LBC covering it and JHB did work there until recently
Julia is tweeting her support for Tony and already one of the radio groups has announced they will be carrying his show as usual
Let's hope Bauer will do the same on the old magic north network

Which group is supporting Tony?

The R2 website lists his Saturday programme without a presenter, but when you click into its website, it shows his picture but no name !!
