How do you know that what appears on your news sources are facts? Presumably you just pick out the 'facts' which suit your agenda. Again, just like the rest of us.

My current political thoughts, having listened extensively to LBC.....Is .....that politicians, in general, never listen to the ordinary working man, whilst much is made of those with financial affluence & those on long term benefits.

Hence, IMO, this protest Brexit 'win.' Now, the politicians are, seemingly, in complete chaos and......... they are still not listening

no. facts dont have sides.

JoB is a Gove fanboi (unsurprisingly) .. Gove is a sinister piece of work. He hopes that the media wont delve too deeply into his past. i suppose they wont.

You're correct, of course, but g-s's point was that one can be selective in choosing facts to suit one's argument.
g-s says we all do this. It's only natural, so difficult to disagree with.
Just my tuppence worth!

7 toilets that we'd rather have as justice secretary than Michael Gove

I'm actually quite shocked. It wasn't a rude tweet at all. All I said was that I love his show and could he please not drink and swallow too near the mic because it's rather off-putting.

He's either super-sensitive or he's on auto-block as soon as he reads one negative word in a tweet. Seems to me he's got his head up his own backside I'm afraid, ladies and gentlemen.

in my work facts have to be 'neutral' but 'weighted' wrt significance to have any meaning of outcomes.

yes youre correct one can be selective but that would be foolish .

Shame the Harry Potter films have all been made for there was a place for Gove the shape shifter in them.
Gove the Tory government minister who voted for tax cuts for the richest is now concerned about high earners and the gap.
Gove voted for every cut in benefits to the disabled and the most vulnerable. Whilst he was bleating on I pulled up his voting record over the years and the only thing that rang true between the rhetoric and the record was his support for gay marriage.
Do we want a PM who if he is to be believed has just worked out that Boris would be a disaster as leader?
Finally having Gove as PM would provide a direct link from the prime ministerial bed to the Daily Mail.
Of the five possible choices for the next PM Gove is by far the worst choice.

Farage and Ferrari, Brexiter tweedledum and Brexiter tweedledee, receiving fawning coverage for visiting wargraves. LBC do this every year, last year even included Farage posing in a group photograph next to a student of colour. Another disgusting new low for Brexit loving LBC.

At least he hasn't got a beard! (literally not figuratively)

And none of them went to Eton - or any public school, I believe.

JoB cant hide his enthusiasm for Gove. His faux lefty stance no longer lives.

I've noticed quite a few callers continuing to speak while the presenter is trying to interrupt.
Possible causes:
1. They're afraid that once the presenter interrupts, they won't be allowed to respond.
2. They think that's the best way of dealing with someone who has a tendency to interrupt.
3. They can't hear the presenter clearly on their phone line.
4. They might be a little hard of hearing.

It's been said on here many, many times:
J O'B is not a 'Lefty'.
'Liberal', possibly.
'Hybrid' more likely.
Egotistical and self-referential, definitely.
