Oh he can more than look after himself. Sometimes I wish someone of equal weight would take him on and punch a hole in that superiority bubble of his.

Yes, because if she doesn't, it's risking the whole EU breaking up.

Of course, I don't know for sure, but on balance, I believe they'll have to. This is largely why I ended up voting Remain in the end - because I can't see a way that the UK won't suffer from leaving and because the Leave campaign offered only slogans and no actual plans.

Yes because our trade relations are not symmetric.

Germany can continue to export physical goods (eg lifts, precision machinery, cars) to the UK under WTO rules. Any added cost will just be passed onto the UK consumer.

We on the other hand export financial services. We need passporting to do that from the UK into the EU - just like you cannot declare yourself a financial advisor here without licensing from the Financial regulatory bodies. In the absence of passporting you need to relocate to the EU to offer your financial services.

Two rather excruciating examples on Fanny's therapy session this morning:

1) Using a picture of James Haskell in one of the papers to salivate over the thought of Tom Daley in a pair of Speedos.

2) Talking very sensitively about the couple that completed a suicide pact rather than be separated in care homes. "It's so sad. You would think after 65 years together they could have some sort of dignity ooh that's a lovely pair of Skechers worn by Paul Cooper ...."

The political situation seems to have swept aside the death of Caroline Aherne, (Mrs Merton). Sadly, she's had only but brief mention by presenters.

It was painful listening wasn't it? Not to mention the constant crowing about Cliff, Brian Conley's stunning daughters and Gloria Hunniford. I know he doesn't get out much but it was just a party with a few celebs. I wonder what real people in the 'business of show' make of him. I wonder if they revel in his unfettered idolatry and sycophantic ways!

JohnnieofBrixton phoned in to Ferarri just now after tweeting last week that he is seldom allowed on LBC these days.

Ferrari seemed genuinely pleased to receive him as it was 'the first time for a long time'. I've always thought Ferrari rather enjoys the banter that comes out of their little spates. I know I do.

Mind you it's not the presenters that choose the callers it's the producer.

Switched on at 11.30 last night to see if Nick had got over his Brexit hissy fit. No such luck. He was still spitting dummies around the studio. I presume he'd been at it since 10. And it was the same old whinge as the previous nights. Perhaps it's a form of Tourettes.

Morning all.

Funnily enough, Nick didn't want to talk about the referendum before it happened. He used to sigh and moan every time someone called up to discuss it. Now he talks about little else. HIs show has gone from a must listen to avoid at all costs.

And long may it be discussed. This is a fundamental issue that could terminally affect an entire generation, long after many of the swing Leave voters have passed away.

A legal.challenge has been issued by anonymous backers, demanding that the supremacy of Parliament be affirmed, and for ratification by MPs as a matter of due process.

This populist outcome must be discussed at every turn.

I agree Ferrari always seems to enjoy the banter between himself and Johnnie. There always pretty friendly exchanges with the odd backhanded comment thrown in.

its presenters who choose along with producers .

---

it dodnt take long for lbc to return to type with kt hopkins inciting against and othering muslims sunday. considering the rise in hate crimes its wholly irresponsible.

---

and JoB the self diagnosed liberal works happily for this station. i wonder how he is going to backtrack from his fawning support for swivel eye gove as potential tory party leader.

Why don't you take your spamming of the LBC thread to the politics section. You have written post after post, since the referendum and they barely relate to LBC.

I would imagine that most others who post on here, are at least as well informed as you are. However, they don't feel the need to continually post their views in this thread; there is even an LBC Politics thread; why don't you post your drivel there?

One of the nicest little touches today was when she sarcastically "thanked" the producers for putting through a caller who waffled on too much and bored her. I know this is at the caller's expense a little bit, but when you call up there is always a chance that something like that will happen to you. It sort of goes with the territory.”

nothing amusing about someone in a position to influence 'othering' and inciting against muslims at a time when hate crimes are on the rise.

This means we will fall back on WTO rules for a decade at least.

Given England and Wales's rather reduced skillset in such matters, and the length of time required to negotiate such things, it will take us 25 years minimum just to get back to where we are now.

And when we do get there, our influence and size means ithe agreements will be less favourable than now.

Nothing much 'exciting' awaits us in the cold light of day, which is why I believe another referendum will be put to the people in some form. A more pragmatic outcome should then prevail.”

there'll not be a brexit. we'll be in whilst being out. on the slim chance there is a brexit we'll be a corporatocracy more so than we are at present.

trump is being accused of 'borrowing' yet again from 'nazi' memes in the same way the brexit camp did here during the eu ref. kt hopkins is a great fan of both trump and brexit.

hes said he'd honour brexit. of all the politicians brexit or not he is about the only one who would in reality complete the task.

Must have been feeling neglected since the 24th
Wonder if dear Nigel will be popping up more or less on LBC?
