The one for garden sheds or log cabins or whatever it is is back. They might at least have made a new one.

The much loved Cucumber Man seems to have vanished forever. We would have heard it by now. It was always a sign that summer's on its way!

So what are the rules for this thread?
No idea really.
I just comment on what I hear on LBC and what I read on here.
Different folk have different ideas as to what general chit chat means.

TBF the content coming out from LBC is a relentless stream of politics so on a LBC thread it's kinda tricky not to talk about what we hear. My opinion anyway. If you have an alternative topic don't be shy in posting it.
Just moaning about what others post but not offering an alternative doesn't advance anything.
I agree that LBC is all politics at the moment and that is bound to influence what people post. However, this is a thread devoted to LBC chit-chat. It's not there for people to just post blocks of text about their politics or links to articles that support their view. There are plenty of other threads for that. It seems to me that some people have used the Politics thread and realised that it is clogged up with referendum threads (which it is). They have then come back to the LBC thread and posted what they would have posted in the Politics thread.

There has been next to no point posting anything else because the thread has been jammed with their "drivel."

The humour has gone out of the thread; the "banter" about the presenters has gone too. It's become the equivalent of a room of people shouting at each other. And yes, I know this post adds to that racket.

Rules?

I think we are discussing the daily output of LBC.

If a new or existing Deadly Virus takes hold and kills half the world we will be discussing that for 6 months.
Or 6 years.
That would become: the only game in town.

We oldies can always be relied upon to be helpful!
Tut. I didn't spot that you'd beaten me to it, g-s.
While I was pfaffing about, copying and pasting, you were in there like a bat out of hell.
Good on yer, girl!

As I understand it, your post is also against the posting rules and you're supposed to report to the mods rather than respond. (So I'm breaking the rules, too - ooh, living on the edge )

Since Brexit, pretty much EVERYONE on this thread had made lots of off-topic posts, entirely unrelated to LBC.

It was painful listening wasn't it? Not to mention the constant crowing about Cliff, Brian Conley's stunning daughters and Gloria Hunniford. I know he doesn't get out much but it was just a party with a few celebs. I wonder what real people in the 'business of show' make of him. I wonder if they revel in his unfettered idolatry and sycophantic ways!
They quietly think, who's this fat lump.

He thinks we'd be jealous, the only one who would be is the forever busy, Noreen.

To be honest Makeba, I think the thread should be self-regulating where possible. It doesn't do anyone any favours when the mods are brought in. There are bound to be disputes from time to time that is the nature of these things. It just seems that all bets are off at the moment.

There is a separate politics thread for LBC, but it seems to come and go in terms of activity. I understand that it's a thin line sometimes; but at the moment it's like having a horse racing thread during Royal Ascot - people posting about the clothes people are wearing, rather than the horses.

Brexit or JOB!
I find that just about anything can be blamed on either if you put your mind to it

We probably arrived around the same time. There was an exodus from the Yahoo group we were on - you, me, Radamfi and a couple of others. Must be about ten years ago.

This won't be news on LBC, only something that Vallen will feed off from tomorrow.

Caller Bridgette does not want a Norway style deal?

I am guessing she will be back on the phone when the Norway style deal predicted by 99% of Westminster Journalists is completed?

Fair enough, but whilst we're about it I don't think anyone has resigned as an MP yet. The Labour lot resigned from the Shadow Cabinet but that's about the height of it.
No, they haven't given up their posts as MP's as yet, it just feels like that with the utter chaos going on! Hilary Benn was sacked, then an avalanche of disenchanted MP's resigned from the Shadow Cabinet. I just hope they sort themselves out sooner rather than later.

Aren't posters entitled to have an opinion without having to justify by writing, 'IMO' or 'IMHO'? As Mike Rackabit has been ejected from this forum by those who detested him, then no need to gloat, IMHO.
