Aren't posters entitled to have an opinion without having to justify by writing, 'IMO' or 'IMHO'?
That's your opinion!

The Golden "Rakabit" Days ......................... sadly missed.
You must have been reading my mind Pedro. I was mulling over his posts earlier on. He brought a certain something to the forum.

Cool your jets.
Only people who can eject anyone are the mods.
Is discussing banned posters really constructive?

Just turned on to check who's presenting this evening only to find its Abbot again and business as usual for him, whinging on in the same dreary tone about the young being hard done by and sneering at anyone who tries to say anything positive. FGS this is fourth consecutive night of it! 'bout time he was put out to grass.

* Breaking News *

Chris Evans quits Top Gear!
I hate it when people feel the need to post 'breaking news' on here. Someone always has to do it. It's usually NOT to do with LBC so is off topic and not necessary in the grand scheme of things other than to appease the poster's own need to gossip.

Sorry but there was a disussion about politics and rules etc earlier on. This would be my suggestion.

It is such a shame. I used to love the times when he filled in for others. Now, I don't bother, especially as Iain Lee is on Talkradio.

No, Sleeper was, and I couldn't see the point other than raising aggro.

You decided to make it worse by blaming others.

Yes I miss those day's of Mike R's monitoring as he called it. The thread was a lot better humoured than now.

Indeed. To this day I can't work out why some people seemed to view anything he posted as some sort of challenge to a "fight to the death".

(IMO ......... of course).

Its almost as if he does the job for nothing other than his own amusement. He doesn't seem particulary interested in caller's opinions other than to take the p*ss out of them.

0Brain has so many axes to grind he's not capable of talking about it rationally.
I think this may now be the case for almost all the subjects James O'Brien discusses.

My least favourite advert at the moment is the "for sure " one
I keep thinking something else beginning with f
"For sure" is quite terrible but by far the most annoying is the Peter Capaldi "free Mercedes-Benz summer health check" ad. It's on every single ad break!

I've noticed that Nick Ferrari has started voicing some of the adverts in his own show! He now voices an advert for Hilton Hotels which airs during some of the ad breaks of the show.

Yes I miss those day's of Mike R's monitoring as he called it. The thread was a lot better humoured than now.
Mike's monitoring lives on as we continue to use much of the LBC terminology he created to this day on this thread. "Gobber", "Brian", "pompous", "supercilious"... There is definitely a theme!

Now that Nigel Farage is to stand down as leader of UKIP, I would really love to hear him as a regular presenter on LBC. He has strong views which are what is needed to drive forward the shows on LBC. Farage is also a good debater and has a good rapport with callers. I thought he did a great job when he did a 3 hour show last year and all the "Phone Farage" segments of Ferrari's show have been a great listen too.

Would love to see him replace Stig Abell on a Sunday afternoon.

Yes. It's as if they're turning into Steve Allen. First Cristo and now, surprisingly, Nick A.

Classic Callers to Phone Ins:

I noticed 'George' from Highgate called in to Radio London a few minutes ago. He must be well into his dotage by now, he sounds very doddery. He was banned by LBC quite some years ago for being too much of a nuisiance caller but he used to ring in to the Robbie Vincent Nightline on a regular basis back in the late eighties and nineties. He was always George from Hampstead back then with that plummy voice.

Lisa Aziz saying 'that's if he can't be got rid of' in relation to Jeremy Corbyn. Way to be professional and not show your rabid right wing bias and unprofessionality Lisa. Ditto similar remarks from Herr Ferrari. Pity they aren't 'got rid of' on the grounds of bias and unprofesionality.
