You'd probably have to dunk the bourbon in the bourbon!

Milngavie is the most mad pronunciation in Scotland.
If nobody tells you it is nigh on impossible to guess correctly.

1. She wanted to Remain. So do most of them. They are ignoring the majority who voted leave and are looking after their own. Damage limitation etc for a result they didn't want.

2. They are ignoring her/their appalling record on reducing official immigration figures over the last few years and again looking after their own by rallying around her.

They should only be nominating Brexit candidates. It gives the impression they still don't get it. The vote was to leave. Again, is as if they are trying to diminish this as much as possible with damage limitation to suit they're own needs.

You could say, with all his back biting and underhanded manoeuvring Michael Gove was ideally suited as a tough and worthy negotiator against the no doubt equally squalid players of European politics.

Instead he was used by the party apparatchiks merely as a pawn to force Borris out of the line up.

Sorry. Just my two penn'th there.

JOB asks what do women have in common that men don't?
IMO The ability to take part in three different conversations at the same time and remember exactly what was said in each one of them!
Mrs B is an expert at this and can also be talking English in two convoy and Italian in the third but still know exactly what's going on.

Don't see how gender makes any difference in politics.
The three main party leaders in Scotland are women but doesn't seem to have changed the tone or direction in any noticeable way.
Two of them are probably the most capable politicians in the UK today. And wee Kes does her best.

Worry not, the junta here is all Brexiters, notice how they have not complained.

That said I'm all for Ms Leadsom for PM. She's clearly grossly incompetent, will face a motion of no confidence inside 12 months when the recession deepens , we will get a GE and may then get back in the EU.

I'm migrating this post by chinchin from the TalkRadio thread, as a) I don't want to post about LBC on that thread, but b) I wanted to challenge this view.

Glad TalkRADIO is revived but very uset Murdoch wants to take over. Right wing LBC mark 2?”

I find this view so lazy in that it proves the person doesn't take into account the station as a whole, just a few headline presenters.

I cite Jeremy Corbyn for leader voting Labour presenter on Overnight weekdays, Darren Adam.

James O'Brien, Sheila Fogarty, Clive Bull, none of whom are Right Wing and have daily shows.

Iain Dale is very much socially liberal, pro immigration, and although 11 years ago stood as a Conservative candidate, is now more a Blairite Labour/Liz Kendall voter.

And there are other presenters, not remotely Right Wing, like Tom Sawrbrick.
The two daily presenters who are, are Ferrari and Collins, and don't pretend otherwise.

Over the years non Right Wing politicians have been given call in airtime - Nick Clegg, Alex Salmond and now Sajid Khan. (I still miss Call Clegg).

But still, the common misperception is that it's a "Right Wing station". It gives airtime to callers, who express all kinds of different views. Because one show is dominated by right wing callers, it doesn't mean the view won't change in another show.

Any station that gives Hopkins and Farage shows can rightly be called a predominantly RW station.

The Slim And Slender One has two hours a week and is a recent arrival. The Farridge has only ever had guest slots. The fact that anyone would consider that their presence on LBC transforms the station into one that is predominantly right wing is perhaps an indication that they bring very powerful and convincing arguments to our ears. People should stop sucking up to bureaucrats and cronies and get on the Brexit Bus.

Really?

One and half presenters does not make LBC a predominantly right wing station.

Does giving George Galloway a couple of hours a week make a station predominantly left wing? I don't think so.

Add in Collins, Ferrari, Mellor, Dale and Andrew P and the rw tag is justified.
Hopkins, the golden girl of the edl brings nothing but ignorance and bigoted views to the station. IMO of course.

Everybody knows that 350m was a typo and should have read 275m but the figure is largely irrelevant anyway because as we all know, the NHS is about to be destroyed by World War 3. The campaign took the form of a debate and we knew that both sides would be economical with the truth. It was up to us to see past all that and we did. England and Wales are now leading the World in the push-back against a festering evil which has been plaguing many nations of the globe for decades now, the cancerous and strangulatory grip of bureaucrats and cronies and their cloud-cuckoo-land economic systems. Apologies to readers of this thread for the OT post, I don't do it very often.
