Not at all ,Cayce. JOB infuriates me sometimes, for example when He goes off on his favourite subjects, IE, 'Marriage is the gold standard of relationships' or taking kids out of school in termtime, Or calling 16 and a quarter year old boys in a consensual relationship with a 15 and three quarter age girls 'rapists'.
However it does seem that some on here just want to slate him just for the sake of it in a way that doesn't seem to happen to any other presenter.
BTW, I voted Lib Dem at the last election, which shows how good my political judgement is.......

I'm not sure where you're coming from ....

Let's add in O'Brien, Fogarty, Adams, Abbott, Livingstone, Galloway .... all presenters to have presented on LBC.

I actually think it's very balanced.

Mornings, 7:00-13:00: 3 hours left, 3 hours right.
Afternoons, 13:00-19:00: 3 hours left, 3 hours right.
Nights, 22:00-4:00: 3 hours right, 3 hours left.

The period between 13:00 and 22:00 is nearer to the centre than 7:00-13:00.

I think there's more comment about J O'B (and Ferrari) because they're on at a time which is accessible to most of us who post here. Perhaps because the news has been so politics heavy recently, we haven't been getting James at his best - which can be very good providing he keeps off his hobby horses.

At the risk of sounding like James O'Brien, I find the attempts at describing the political leanings of LBC presenters as being predominately Left or Right somewhat binary and simplistic - therefore not very helpful, if not downright dangerous. Rather like the damaging, divisive, inciting and insidious referendum and its aftermath.
As a nation, we allow ourselves to be divided - by geography, age, gender, income, sexual preference, political leaning, 'class', educational background, ethnicity etc. etc.
Britain has always been rather good at 'divide and rule'. It seems a shame, to me.
In a world of 'us' and 'them' the 'us' needs to realise our collective strength through unity. End of sermon. 'The phone lines are open'!

BiB. Charlie, surely you didn't mean to use the word 'binary', did you? Should I remind you it's J O'B's word of the moment?

They are almost exclusively heavily right of centre with a couple Blairite Tory lite sprinkled in.

Yes, Cayce - but the concept goes way back to before the ancient Egyptians.

As Ian Hislop said on Question Time, the Daily Mail might write things, but that doesn't mean we have to necessarily believe them!

Now there is a guy who would be great to listen to on LBC.

Obviously you don't concur with what the OP posted earlier.

How would you see the balance Chin ?

Over my dead body.
Possibly, with your connections, this could be arranged.

What amused me was that the original analysis included Steve Allen.
He's all over the shop!

Agree what you say about Nick Abbot. Apparently the EU is the only topic and anyone who disagrees with him is imagining things.
Disagree about Katie Hopkins. Vile woman.

Hmm, but we don't have to read it either.

Millions do, though. I only used the DM as an example of media influence. Other media are available!
Coincidentally, NA is discussing this topic exactly now.

Are these Brexiter callers the new UKIP callers? Toby just now on the Nick Abbot show: "we Brexiters think it appalling that people from France have more right coming here than people from the Commonwealth" , "millions of people read the Guardian" , " the media is mostly pro Remain" ... Nick Abbot has the patience of a saint with these people.

Caller to Nick Abbot:
'Do you want to know how many drugs I'm taking?'
Nick:
'I've only got 35 minutes!'.

And now another Brexiter caller : "we must take our country back". It is clearly a manifestation of democracy that, having wrestled our country away from the grasping hands of evil foreigners, it is now best that 125k unelected individuals (average age 71) decide the next PM.

I was hoping Chilcot might have tempted NA to give Brexit a rest but I had a quick listen at around 11.30 and he was still boring on about it. I'm sure we Leavers would have been a bit more sanguine about defeat but, then, most of us didn't expect to win! FGS get over it, Nick!

Morning all.

Shouldn't such posts be on the politics thread?
