Very much enjoyed Ian Payne on breakfast, personally i think he is very under used and is under rated. I think he would be good doing Weekend Breakfast permanently.

He's a good solid presenter, not the most exciting presenter hence why i wouldn't say weekday breakfast or drive however for afternoons or weekend breakfast he would be perfect.

Are you referring to my original post? I never mentioned Steve Allen, so you've just told a lie, and were amused falsely.

That made me laugh.

I thought Nick had more humour in his show last night and his podcast had no EU stuff at all focusing on the state of Rio prior to the Olympics.

There are other subjects out there but the appetite still seems to be for Brexit so that is what will be discussed.

No thanks. Ian Payne covered for Nick Ferrari for two weeks at Christmas. He was very poor, no natural humour and didn't take a stance on any of the issues he was discussing. Bland and uninspiring presenting. He's fine for a Saturday afternoon but he's out of his depth at breakfast.

Good old Ian Payne. I like his shows because he is....like, normal & comes across as very human & non- smarmy.

To be or not to be a Mother.....will LBC cover Andrea Leadsom's rather catty, IMO, comments, all weekend !!!!

Enjoy your weekend, everyone x

Two questions that I hope Farage is asked tomorrow.
1. Why did a UKIP official start the e petition calling for a second referendum BEFORE June 23rd?
2. Farage, you said before the vote that a 52 48 win for remain would be "unfinished business and grounds for a second referendum" Why is a leave win with your own figures not grounds for a second vote?

The reason was they did not expect to win as the Government had thrown all the weight and finances behind the remain campaign and even though the vote went the way it did it was still an unfair election very biased towards the remain campaign.

This being LBC it will just be screened down to a queue of Leavers congratulating him on 'having taken our sovereignty back' (from Luxembourg), as these people put it.

If last time is any guide, he will beg half-way through for people to phone in and disagree with him, at which point some Quitter will ask him to unresign or something.

He is very good.

He is inoffensive but not bland.

He comes across as having a broad appeal.

Maybe, just maybe after this all drama has died down, he might host a interesting discussion about other subjects.

Have to agree with all the comments about Nick A. Have listened to him, off and on for 20-years, when I first discovered him on the old Talk Radio. And haven't missed an LBC show of his for getting on for 10-years. But, this evening, with a sense of sadness, I had to switch him off - enough was enough.

Like others have said, it will be Iain Lee on Fridays for the foreseeable. Just listening to the Best of Iain Lee now. Knows how to gently poke fun at callers without being outright rude.

Will be interesting to see Nick's next set of Rajars.

I thought he's been on good form tonight. Definitely a lot more humour than the last few shows.

Agreed, i thought Iain would really struggle on Fridays and he did for the first week or two however now Friday is just as lively as any other night. I also am a big Nick Abbott fan however for the last couple of months i have also been struggling.

Brexiter just now on Nick Abbot :

I wonder when the caller last went there lol 😊

Morning all. ”

I'm still working my way through Nick's Friday show and there were some great calls. The bloke who gets more and more shouty the further he gets into the conversation, the was a bloke who was acting like a spoilt brat because Nick kept interjecting and a woman who was complaining it was disrespectful to call the woman in the tory leadership contest 'Andrea Leadsomeone' . Great show Nick, keep it up!
