Well, the summer holiday season upon us, so I would have expected LBC to shake up the schedules a bit but I am surprised that Petrie Hosken is back (albeit as cover) in her Saturday afternoon time slot.

I think that's an old schedule that's been tinkered with to list KH. It's also got Andrew Pierce in for Andrew Castle. And J O'B will be surprised that he's expected to turn up tomorrow! There seems to be a blind spot when it comes to keeping the schedule up to date.

I don't think its something that needs to be discussed on open air/national radio or even local. Those that are young, inexperienced and or those that need advice can maybe seek private confidential advice and or talk to friends/family and those that are experienced in these matters should be able to work out such things for themselves.
I also get the impression from the presenter herself that she is a bit shy/nervous about talking about this and that in itself shows that its not something that should be on talk radio. Anyone know what the listening figures for this slot are btw?

Is Katie covering David Mellor or is she in that slot permanently.
Because they could simply have got replacements like Stanley Johnson or others to cover if it was just Mellor and Crick on holiday? To move from Mellor and Crick to Hopkins is hardly a summer rescheduling - it's a total change
Mellor said nothing last week about going on holiday and see you in a couple of weeks - it seems like he left or has been booted out abruptly. Hope not as it was a great show - maybe it was seen as too highbrow for LBC?

During Nick Abbots show last night LBC played a jingle catch Katie Hopkins saurday and sunday from 10am,also both Mellors and Cricks profiles have been removed from the presenter profiles,enough probably to draw the obvious conclusion.
And on Mellors wikki page it says his contract has not been re newed.

Have they scrapped the David Mellow & Whoever Show?, I've just read on the talkRADIO page they have, or has he just gone away on holiday?.
Either way they've removed him from their podcasts list.
I really hope they haven't it's my favourite show despite Mellor at times being a bit annoying, the continuation of my podcasts subscription may depend on the answer.

Katie left the issue open on her show. She hinted it was holiday cover but then seemed to leave it vague. Make of that what you will. ......

When they dropped Ken Livingstone, someone posted then that they were not going to continue David Mellor's contract either and Michael Crick was just a stand in like for the remainder of the time KL would have been there.
If correct it sounds like its been scrapped which is a big mistake but having said that, there was nothing I heard on that show that I didn't know or had worked out for myself already but I doubt that's the case for a lot of people as I follow politics a lot and not everyone does.
