There's nothing like a good old rant about Steve. We don't get enough of them these days. Keep it up D-D.

Thanks, but Steve has lost a listener in me. I've been listening for donkeys years. But I have never known him to be so annoying. I think a close friend needs a word in his ear.

Because he doesn't listen to the listeners.

That's not very newsworthy. The Mayoral election has got rather lost in all the Referendum news. I expect Ferrari will have the usual studio debate but it won't be as exciting this time. It was a real needle match between Ken and Boris. They actually came to blows in the lift at LBC Towers, as I recall.

TBH it all sounded rather dull. Was to do with green issues and although I know I should pay more heed I find my attention gone after a couple of minutes.

Next Friday (11th March), an important debate is due to take place in HoC to try and prevent the NHS from being further privatised and for NHS Trusts to be abolished. I don't expect LBC will give this any news time, however details explained here:

He constantly brags about how much money he's making for the job he's doing. He brags about his book 'wot he wrote', and about how he blocks people who don't like the book.

He's spent all week going on about this Radio Times Radio Voice of 2016 thing, that HE'S in the running. Bragging again.

And what's this also about that TV chef Phil Vickery keep sending boring texts to Steve which Steve reads out. It's so boring. Both of them, they get on my nerves.

I stopped listening on Wednesday, just couldn't take any more.”

The sychophants tea party. It's all about him and a few 'in the club' It's just getting worse and requires no pre planning as the producer (poor sod) is propping him up with information searches from the internet. As well as the b******s that he comes up with in his own little world.

Fanny (vote for me, vote for me) Allen gets more befuddled every day.

I often wonder how truthful and up to date those RAJAR figures are!

This morning's Best Of seemed to consist almost entirely of Steve telling us how to vote (for him) in the Radio Times poll.

Morning all.

Where else would you go for unbiased reporting on the subject other than to The Guardian and those lovely people at 38 degress ?

It's the OUT campaign's tactic for dealing with Project "Fear". I call it Project "Don't Worry Be Happy".

Ex-pats living abroad? Don't Worry Be Happy
International Health Insurance? Don't Worry Be Happy
Work Permits? Don't Worry Be Happy

I end up humming that tune after almost every interview with an OUT campaigner.

Agreed. It seems a long time ago since Steve's show was actually entertaining. I have noticed one thing though. He cannot take criticism of any kind.

He says he delights in blocking people on Twitter and yet he blocked me because I said he should stop reading out Phil Vickery's BORING tweets. He sends Steve about 70 tweets every morning, all of which are read out.

Like O'Brien, Steve blocks people - NOT trolls. A troll to both these sados is someone with a different view to them. I remember sending a tweet to a well known TV actor and I said his new show was rubbish. He replied back and said, 'but some people like it'. He didn't block me like Steve Allen or O'Brien would.

Steve blocked me and I've never tweeted him! I think whoever polices his account noticed that I also follow the parody Steve Allen account.

Morning all.

There was mention of a poster on this thread who it was alleged had had an earlier profile here. I did a bit of research and found a whole series of posts from 2010. It was quite spooky as exactly the same things were being said about Steve Allen then as now ( used to be funny, losing his memory, repetitive yada yada yada) .He's still going strong as ever though.

And still the fannies still can't stop talking about him, I suspect they listen regularly but feel guilty because of their addiction so must come on here and slag him off.

Steve needs to get back at what he does best. He used to be an acerbic wit. NOW, he's just a guy who reads out Phil Vickery's dreary comments, and of course Steve's own massive self promotion.

I don't think Nu-LBC's tight reins allow him to. Steve needs to get his guests back (I miss John Warrington especially) and be allowed to steer away from the news more.

Duncan Barkes' comments after leaving LBC seemed to confirm what we all strongly suspected anyway, that the 'Global-isation' of LBC took the heart and spirit out of the station.
