The guy who exports machinery but doesn't incur fuel and transport costs?
Strange business he is in. Maybe he exports the Tardis.

And again. He's accusing this caller of interrupting him!

Shall we start a petition and ask anyone who wants to continue to discuss Beavis and Butthead that they should start a new thread.

By the way I wonder if Steve still collects different coloured flannels. And I wonder if he has a bootful of umbrellas.”

Oh I didn't know about the flannels. How wonderful.

He bought a portable DVD player recently which didn't work but he isn't going to return it because it only cost £50 and he'd already thrown the box away. Besides, he'd already bought another one anyway.

He's interviewing Jo Malone for "In Conversation" this week so candles are bound to be back on the agenda soon.

God this is worse than worse. Even by his standards he's terrible today, was bad enough yesterday. Switching off as how can ordinary people express an opinon, it doesn't matter whether they are right or wrong , clever or not ... just let them speak for awhile!

I voted remain but I am fed up of LBC talking about nothing else

You think it is a bad thing to tell someone when they are wrong?
Deny them the truth doesn't seem to be a good course of action. Just my opinion of course.

Let them express themselves first then if you want, rip them to pieces to prove you know best.

He's said he rarely buys one of anything. If it comes in different colours he'll buy them all. He buys cheap halogen ovens from Costco and throws them away when they need cleaning.

I do sometimes wonder if he's created this weird persona to keep the listeners' interest and is actually as dull and normal as the rest of us!

I used to think J O'B sounded like Alan Partridge but he's slowly morphing into David Brent.

Caller says "lots of economists supported brexit"
Fact, less than 10% of economists supported Brexit.
At what stage do you step in and sort out the fact from the fiction?
Straightaway seems to be as good a time as any.

I flatly won't listen to him at all [O'Brien] he thinks everything he says is right and those who disagree are all wrong, he's an over-opinionated yet insignificant mouthpiece as far as I am concerned.

I was late tuning in and was a bit stunned to hear that James seemed to be reading out one of my posts.

"You voted for this and now you are pleading for us to stop talking about it."

What proof has he got the fall of the £ is due to brexit, when we have been told umpteen times "Were not out yet"?

Yep. Pretty much the same here. He's turned into a Speaker's Corner gobsh**e, who chunters out the same guff five days a week.

That caller Ashley got more than a fair cracking of the whip but all his fine motives boiled down to not wanting to see mobs of immigrants wandering round his town centre unwilling to integrate. Why leaving the eu will make this any better remained unclear.

Funny to hear JOB ribbing Brexit opinion on the basis that simply repeating an untruth often enough will render it 'true'. Reminds me somewhat of all the Labour numbskulls prior to the last election repeatedly trotting out the (non-existent) 'cost of living crisis' cliche.

Incidentally, self-proclaimed superiorly-educated Mr JOB, that word that often seems to elude you is diminution, not diminishment. Simply because you're king of the world doesn't mean you can just make up words!

Rubbish. Excellent entertainment. Loving the squirming brexiters!

If it's not the announcement by May last week and the course that Brexit will take hasn't caused the plunge in the currency then what do you think has caused it?

Briefly listened to Ferrari this morning and caught the programme when he was being disparaging about the BBC again. He and others, notably Vallen do this and I just wonder what it is in their DNA that makes them do this?
The BBC are very generous on their part in often mentioning this station or quoting from it or playing clips and therefore have a much more grown up attitude towards the 'competition'.
Just proves how childish some of the LBC presenters are.

I expect James was too. Having UKIP and Brexit as topics is his equivalent of click-bait. Entertaining to listen to whichever side you're on.

You sound like the Lord of the Manor ... the peasants are always revolting.

Don't worry J.O'B is on a mission to fumigate the land.
