How can you prove its Brexit? In 1980 I got $2.40 to the pound, so what caused it to go so low before the vote?. How do you know it wouldn't have gone lower anyway?

What I tend to do is listen and read what people who know a lot more about currency fluctuations have to say and their verdict is unanimous that Brexit is the reason behind the drop in value.

Whilst true and also that the pound has been overvalued, the speed of decline is worrying and will have consequences to our everyday life. It does show how "plastic" the whole World and currency trading is. People (our Gods) will look to make money out of instability / insecurity. The £ and Brexit is one of those wonderful opportunities for them to make money. Endlessly looking at the negatives and talking the Country down and therefore the £ is wonderful news for them, as it creates just the environment that they want.

Don't worry these people will make money when and if it goes back up again and the Euro for instance takes a hit. Anyone notice how all the EU issues don't seem to get a public mention. I’ll bet they are shrewd enough in Germany to put off and delay activities that will put the Euro under pressure.

The reality is that nobody knows how Brexit is going to turn out but to make out that the majority of UK voters were not entitled to vote to get back the sovereignty of their own parliament and control of their own borders is a ridiculous postion to take especially in the dogmatic and patronising way that he has.

Cheap shots to callers about 'what Euro laws they object to' and 'what have they got against immigrants' just triavalise and cheapen the issue and miss the point that protecting our own democracy and being able to decide who comes into the country is key to our economic well being in the future.
