Iain is being a right dick about Notting Hill. It is a huge front for crime, and always has been. I first went in 1976 and it is a frightening place despite the obligatory shot of a smiling white bobby dancing with black woman.

It looks like SA is our only refuge from all the brexit bolsokk, at least on LBC. Oh for the days when this forum was nearly all about having some gentle fun at the expense of SA and his "sillies". Oh for the return of John Warrington, Roger Foss and Julie Peasebad. I wonder what that Scottish woman he had on who used to bore the bejabbers out of me is doing? I'd gladly listen to her for hours now as long as she didn't mention bloody brexit again.”

That's Susan Spence, who can be found reading the news at Talksport on the weekend. It's fine she's restricted to news reading, she has a nice broadcasting voice and as she cannot stray onto actual programme content we are all spared from hearing about her favourite sweets ..

Do you?
Does it not fascinate you that somebody can run an export business without incurring transport costs?

Just a little something that Farage could discuss on his next LBC gig.

God, Iain Dale's been getting his knickers in a twist this last hour. That's the second, full on handbags at dawn barney he's had with a caller. Perhaps he's been following Steven Woolf's antics too closely.

Wow! Perhaps it's just as well our old friend and O'Brian raconteur Mr Rackabit is no longer posting! A field day.

Except as I said earlier this guy said he exported machinery.
If you had listened to the show you would know that the caller just couldn't bring himself to say that he would incur higher costs, instead he made himself look silly by going into denial.

Not sure what that poor lady MP from Kensington said or did to warrant such a strop. Has he always been such an ardent supporter of the carnival? Seemed determined to get her to say 'ok, it's a fair cop, yes its just my rich constituents in Kensington who dont like the hoi polloi ' which, in fairness is not what she was saying, or trying to say, at all.

If you go to LBC's homepage right now - before the page is updated - there is a bizarre, unintentionally funny photo of a policeman looking as if he is giving anal or regular sex from behind to a black woman. It's next to Iain Dale's link about the Tory MP wanting to move the Notting Hill carnival.

The photo is most strange! Of all the photos LBC could choose for the item, they went with that one! LOL

I screencaptured it just in case the page is updated and image and link go. Here is the photo:

Strange photo given the topic was about crime at the carnival and a MP's desire to move it out of the borough. Anyway, made me chuckle. Nice to know LBC's website editor has a saucy sense of humor.

Judging by the size of the copper next to him it was 'bring a child to work day'.

I get sick to death of those, like J O'B and Ken L in making reference to Hitler as though he's going out of fashion! I conjecture they like clinging on to this powerful figurehead just to inflame debate, or because they are powerless to strengthen an otherwise feeble argument.

Conservative MP and irritable cyclist Andrew Mitchell invoked Hitler in a debate in parliament today.
You must have missed the report of this on LBC news.

I did. They need their hands slapped too for flippantly bandying the name around.
In brief, I have respect for those who had to live through Hitler's hideous regime.

ETA. J O'B has gone big time on Hitler. Just look at the banner on his Twitter page.

Thanks for that. I became convinced that she was a witch when she was appearing with Vallen. I'd been somewhat critical and p-taking about her contributions on LBC and one Monday morning i was listening to SA as i was getting ready for work, when he introduced SS as being in the studio with him, about 20 minutes after i'd heard her reading the sports news on 5Live.

I thought "Bloody hell, did you get there on your broomstick?" then i started to shave. Almost immediately my battery shaver just died, never to work again, with the 3 rotary
heads snagging themselves, painfully, in several days beard growth on my cheek.

I took it as a warning and was careful to never, ever, think or write badly about Susan Spence again!

Iain Dale was appalling to caller a day or so ago. The caller was answering his question on addiction to gambling. Pouring his heart out on live radio how he'd managed to harness to it, Dale quickly cut across him, saying he must have overcome his problem. Without the caller being able to finish, he cut him off, in favour of reading out a Tweet/text. Very poor of Dale, IMO.

God, Susan Spence was dreadful. I used to dread the days when she was on. I'd have to switch Vallen off for a whole half hour while she was there with her rubbish.

Not sure about now but back in the day we used to refer to it as "Wine'in " as in "winding" your body down.

I think you know that nobody who mentioned £350 million for the NHS as a result of Brexit was in a position to promise that it would turn out that way but the fact remains that Brexit gives the UK the chance to decide what to do with that money rather than giving it to the EU to manage.

It's the principle of self determination of this countries affairs rather than the specifics that people voted for.

So... Are you suggesting that no one at all voted Brexit because they believed that it would mean more money for the NHS?
