James O'Brien on fire today.

Must have made uneasy listening for those who claim not to tune in.

I was last there in 2014, a 50something white woman on my own.
I encountered nothing but fun and kindness, though admittedly I was off the streets by the time dusk fell.
Couldn't manage the last one because of a leg injury, but intend to go again next year.

Mmm could it be that Steven Woolf's antics were copied from Iain Dale's at that conference where he had that scrap with the elderly man with the dog, and finished up rolling all over the floor? Very entertaining it was too.

diminishment, n.
Frequency (in current use):
Etymology: < diminish v. + -ment suffix

The action or process of diminishing (trans. and intr.); diminution, lessening, decrease, abatement.

It's unfortunate for Mr Dale that when in a state of high dudgeon he sounds like he's about to burst into tears.
It usually happens when a caller makes some small criticism of The Blessed Margaret, but Brexit and Russia are catalysts too.
I was surprised at his defence of Notting Hill Carnival though.

The photo is most strange! Of all the photos LBC could choose for the item, they went with that one! LOL

Looks like the young lady is twerking and the poor officer is doing his duty and forcing himself to look like he's enjoying it.

Just the 252 arrests and 3 stabbings as well as two police officers attacked, one beaten unconscious, at 3pm.

I'm not going to argue with the stats, just saying how it was for me.
I had plenty of people making space for me to see the processions and chatted with several people in the crowds and queues.
I had a brilliant time and would recommend it to anyone with a sturdy pair of legs.

Funny you say that as we've been calling it Loadsa Brexit Chat too.

I have not listened to LBC today because I can't stand the repetitiveness at the moment. I forget - is it always this bad? But I'm dozing off to an improved (compared to a week or so ago) Nick Abbot.

I didn't listen to Steve this morning. [If anyone did hear] How long did he spend talking about Will Young? He was giving him a hard time before he even danced a step and now this .. Secondary question, did he show any sympathy for Will? Umm .. perhaps scrap Question 2?

I woke up to Steve saying we should have Spaghetti Bolognese for breakfast, and immediately wanted to heave. Then after another suggestion, buttery toast with peanut butter and marmite, he slated Will Young for leaving Strictly. To be expected?

Turned on O'Brain at 10:21 this morning just as he was going to his first caller.

Rapidly turned off as the man was being constantly interrupted and not allowed to make his argument. You'd think after yakking on himself for 15 minutes (allowing for travel news etc) he'd be able to shut up and listen for a couple of minutes, but every word has to be challenged.

At least it gave him somebody other than Bros / Matt Goss to bitch about.

What do you expect from a station that is deeply left-wing and liberal. They do not care about the valid arguments as long as the arguments do not fit their agenda.

He had a dig at Rod Stewart's wife, Penny Lancaster, Steve didn't like her outfit when her husband was knighted, he also criticised her hair. Not content with that, Steve said he didn't think much of her on Loose Women. I don't know what she's done so wrong, I've always thought she was a nice woman with a good vibe about her.

Steve has always had digs at Loose Women but usually confined it to the panelists. Now he slags off the whole programme. I wonder if it's since Ctisto's been producing it.

Morning all.

Blimey, if you think LBC is left wing, your politics must be somewhere to the right of Mussolini.*

The station that employs Hopkins and Farage?
Dale, Collins and Ferrari are hardly deeply left wing.

Darn it!

Thanks Well, she was Radio Foghorn when she was there. Set the alarm for 6.30am - guaranteed you will not want an extra 5 min in bed.
