Matt Frei has a strange voice on radio, for some reason he sounds different, when on the tv.
Quite like him though, very knowledgeable.

I, too, would have liked these current, terrible happenings to be treated as a topic. James spent a lot of time, during the week, discussing the rights & wrongs of Michael Heseltine murdering his mother's dog. This was several decades ago & the man in question has since refuted it

However, James was eager to return to his 'anger Brexit' topic. Sheer overindulgence on his part.

I have had to stop what I was doing to give Matt Fry all of my attention.
Truly great radio.

Perhaps he'd have had more to say if the cats were only Siamese, Burmese or Abyssinian. He could have done a whole hour on racist cat killing.

Morning all.

I would like to agree with the posters saying they'd like more of Andrew Pierce on LBC, the Saturday 10am-12pm slot would be great [I'd even make it 10am-1pm] he's far better than the current presenter in the chair.

He used to do the current Andrew Castle slot and got nothing but moans on here. Dull, boring etc. Perhaps we've had a change of personel on the thread, who appreciate him more.

Matt Frei's alright, not as good as listening to Mellor and Livingstone in my view but he's alright, it's just I prefer Andrew Pierce to Frei that's all and Saturday mornings is one of my favourite listening times.
Just a personal view of course.

I didn't agree with the AP moaners; I like him. I'd prefer him as a sub. than Maajid Nawaz. He's OK in small doses but after a couple of days of him sitting in for J O'B I'd had enough.

I would listen but my conscience won't let me. He makes me come out in a rash and I start to have an urgent need to take a shower. Looks like he should do the same occasionally from his scruffy appearance on his hilarious, beard-twisting Facebook rants.

I await today's effort with barely concealed hilarity. I'm looking forward to the return of erstwhile LBC presenter James Whale to TalkRADIO with a somewhat more optimistic expectation of amusing, professional and informative broadcasting - C”

You may or may not know, that James Whale (I like him) is on radio Kent Saturday mornings. And his attitude to the judges decision, the newspaper headlines and Brexit in general was almost identical to that OF JOB. And he gave some little Englanders similar short shrift. At least he isn't O'Brien though.

Higher? Only in the sense that Jim is at the lowest level so anyone only marginally better has to be of a 'higher quality' than him.

Tonight is the Million Mask Protest, starting at 6pm in London. To give you an insight into the sort of people who attend this event, here's the now famous clip of event organiser Richard Seymour VS Nick Ferrari.

I remember hearing the above interview last year whilst getting ready for work in the morning and just freezing when I heard what the activist was saying, followed by cheering when Nick cut him off.

One of the most memorable moments of Nick's show in the last couple of years, IMO.

Last night, a caller to Matty Standin began his call by complaining that his call to Brian had been blocked.

Whereas in my opinion, the problem with JOB is that he's chosen to sink to their level.

Thanks Bangla. Really, the whole situation concerning these macabre killings needs more time given via media to raise awareness. The actual Croydon Cat Killer - there are also imitators - is now claiming as many as 6 cats a week. As said in the local papers where I live, this maniac is getting bolder and bolder and more out of control.
The latest increase in deaths has reached international news. Something has to be done to prevent this sicko from starting on other vulnerables > specifically children. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/croydon-cat...oss-uk-1589951

Edit: The police have been ridiculously slow in getting anything off the ground, That's putting it very mildly,

Maajid Nawaz- very driven, very self- promoting & very intense.

I felt the same as you, g-s, during last week's cover. So much so.......that I almost wished for a JO'B return

That feeling didn't last long !!

Before the news Beverley Turner said it was Barack Obama's last weekend in the White House. I thought he wasn't leaving until January.

One of the biggest mysteries how Bev Turner ever became a radio host. She makes Andrew Castle sound like Brain of Britain.

Terrible voice, has no clue what's she is talking about. Makes it up as she goes along.

Dire.

He does like to wind people up, I suppose to generate angry calls he's been like that for years. He does get away with quite a lot seeing as its a BBC show, something for the weekend as a title does seem it will be a tame show but it's quite engaging and not too local.

I wonder now he's joining talkRADIO if he will even bother with BBC Kent

There must be lots of female radio presenters better than Bev ...

Doesn't mean his call was blocked. That morning slot regularly has over 200 calls, given that 10 get on an hour max it means you can be very choosy with callers. Only the very best calls will get on or someone with past experience of the subject or a different take on the subject. Overnight you stand a lot better chance of getting on purely because there isn't as many calls . James wouldn't make the decision neither it would be the producer. He may see a view on the switchboard that he wants to hear more that anyone else's however he doesn't choose who makes it to air and who doesn't.
