Yes, I was listening to it in the workplace and we all sent off separate complaints to Ofcom as we were all dismayed by the hate speech being preached by the 10am incumbent.
I don't see why I should post my email to Ofcom here for you to nitpick.
The quote here from O'Brien is the essential one: "“If you’re still clinging to the notion that you voted to leave the European Union in possession of anything that remotely resembles the facts, well I can’t help you, you need to listen to something else. Go and put on some propagandist, because if you think you voted in possession of truth, honesty and facts then you’re a banana, whether you’re a bent one or a straight one is a conversation for another day.”"
This, along with the hour O'Brien did on the court case, is a clear breach of rule 5.9 of the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, which states:
"5.9 Presenters of "personal view" or "authored" programmes or items, and chairs of discussion programmes may express their own views on matters of political or industrial controversy or matters relating to current public policy. However, alternative viewpoints must be adequately represented in the programme. Additionally, presenters must not use the advantage of regular appearances to promote their views in a way that compromises the requirement for due impartiality. Presenter phone-ins must encourage and must not exclude alternative views."
