Something that is (obviously) way beyond the intellectual capability of Farage. (Video evidence available on request. Always worth another watch).”

So far this year Nigel Farage has been involved in two election victories. Meanwhile a 44 3/4 year old ex public schoolboy calls him "Farridge" on the radio.

Who's winning again?

Perhaps you have misunderstood the thread title.

When Farage appeared on the James O'Brien show for some "Chit-Chat on LBC", he was totally humiliated. His odious bullsh*t about the wrong kind of Immigrant living next door was exposed by JOB.
He lasted 19 minutes.
His spin doctor rushing in to save Farage from further punishment was surely one of the best moments filmed by LBC.

But now that you have taken us off topic.......
Farage "ran away" (again) at the end of his 25 year campaign to leave the Eu. A highly unusual move for your average everyday Pied Piper Bullshitt*r.
His involvement with Trump came after moaning (for Little England) about Obama interfering with the Eu Referendum. Wonderful evidence for the charge of Hypocrisy. Guilty as charged.

LBC should start "draining the swamp" and O'Brien could be the first.

Without meaning to be argumentative, I think it is probably the other way round. Towards the end of that long call, he hinted strongly,.. I felt... That his recent more confrontational style was what management wanted. He pointed out that audience figures were paramount. He has to keep those up, as there are plenty of other presenters who covet that spot. Gaunt, for example would snatch it, which would please at least one person on here.

You're trying hard, but the reality is that sensible politics are at last replacing the nightmare of fascist liberalism/multi-culturism/diversity and all the other tedium we've been subjected to for the last 20 years. Only JOB himself and his acolytes consider him the ace-debater who destroys other's arguments. That he is in fact insecure is evidenced by his need to maintain his silly mispronunciation of NF's name. But, with proper relevance to this board, my main criticism is of his ability as a broadcaster - it's very low grade despite years of practising.

You are right re: the audience figures. To paraphrase, he said "being polite doesn't bring in the numbers." He is obviously mindful that being an Ian Payne, for instance, isn't what is required.

Not so much of the oxy! - I know my own mental status!

I've encountered lots of libs who think they're 'nice people', so how on earth could they be fascist? But imagine how it feels always to have your views dismissed as 'uneducated', that certain words are no longer allowed, that a way of thinking is 'no longer acceptable', that you must accept that society is now based only on a prescribed model, etc . . . does all that remind you of any other not so nice regimes recorded in history books?

On James O'Brien, He seems to have got worse in how he treats callers. There are some callers who are stupiid and they are asking to be taken apart. However, what James O'Brien appears to be doing ore when I hear him, is making every caller who disagrees with him look stupid. His approach now seems to be "if you disagree with me you must be stupid".

That's coming from somebody who thinks James O'Brien did an incredible job of taking Farage apart during that interview.

I chose not to listen to LBC's election coverage last night when I heard the guest list.

I've written on here before that I dislike labels, because people are generally more complex than to fit into a prescribed formula - or at least I would hope they would be.
Your description of 'liberals' seems to be anything but.
This would certainly better describe the over-arching control of 'fascism' which is arguably the opposite of 'liberalism', which believes in 'laissez-faire', surely?
Maybe you're thinking of the modern term 'Neo-Liberal'?
I dunno. Labels, eh?
Anyway, off-topic ...

In what way does chatting about a Radio show require effort?

If the charge is that JOB is unable to destroy the argument of a media hardened Poltician and Party Leader......when the topic should put all the advantages with the latter.....we have just covered that. The claim is false.
JOB can have Farage for Breakfast pretty much any time he wants.

If the charge is that he destroys all (callers) who disagree with him....that is clearly false. Did someone say JOB has not had a good day? Surely some mistake. An articulate caller who wanted to take JOB to task - today - was given a huge chunk of the 3rd hour....as much time as wanted.
I think what you are trying to say is that JOB ruthlessly destroys the arguments of Angry Self Harmers who are insistent that making the country poorer (let's ask Philip Hammond to adjudicate on that point) is a good idea.

I want him to take them apart. It is for their own good that they grasp a concept that is understood even by small children.
Actions have Consequences.

All very reminiscent of Mao's "Cultural Revolution" in the 1960s with thousands of brainwashed students scuttling around waving the Little Red Book .................. plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose

So Clinton hasn't given her concession speech because she wasn't expecting to give one? WTH? What did she think any of this election was about? A return to monarchial rule and a coronation awaiting her crowning?

On a personal level the woman just does not learn a thing, even in defeat. Hubris is what got her the Democrat nomination but it was the same hubris that lost her the election. With that haughty attitude, she deserved to lose.

How wrong can you be?
That was about silencing educated people and artists and journalists.
Honestly, the guy does a three hour radio show. Try and get some perspective.

She didn't turn up at the Clinton HQ party, so presumably could see defeat looming. A more gracious person would have bitten the bullet, gone there and thanked her team of workers and all the supporters who voted for her.

You should give the same advice to Mr Salmond - he is looking like a wet weekend in Blackpool on the TV today.

A good job Scotland did not go independent - all trade deals with the US would have ended in January

Sending out her campaign manager was a shocking decision. It confirmed everything the American people who voted agianst her thought of her.

Deep down, I still wish in my heart of hearts that she had won so she could go into the Oval Office, look at the desk and think 'That is just where Lewinsky blew my husband'.

I wonder if the Wee Krankie is regretting this:

Totally untrue. That was the Scottish guy early on. JO'B allowed him a good few minutes to explain his love for Trump, but he couldn't justify a thing. All he basically said was how brilliant the result was and that Hillary is a criminal, most of which was his speculation. There lies the problem with these sort of callers.

You would think! But no, it's all me, myself and I with Madam Clinton. How disappointing for those volunteers, though I won't be surprised they are prepared to make excuses for her regardless.

If Trump had behaved like that on the other hand ...

My point was that LBC have posted a call which has J O'B taking down a fool rather than one where the caller bests James.
