It's rather cute compared with most of her other nicknames.

You seem to be confusing an internet forum with national radio. I'm under no obligation to show respect to public figures.

Where does it say that radio presenters have to show respect to public figures?
If you were honest you would say that radio presenters should show respect to those public figures that you approve of.
Anyone who isn't in the Mail or Express good books is fair game.

Ah back with your attempted Jon Gaunt smear! Back on #9113 on here you stated this.

"You know full well, that breakfast shows are more listened to than mid morning. I see from another discussion that you are a big fan of Jon Gaunt. That tells me what sort of radio you would prefer..."

Yet in spite of me regularly asking for evidence you have provided none.

Is Gaunt on the same time as JOB?
Does he still spit into the mic?

They day when posters on a forum are expected to respect politicians, is the day the internet is finished. Presenters, especially one who interviews politicians, should be able to respect all politicians to some degree. The fact that JOB cannot do this pretty much cancels out his credibility.

America will be so much poorer for losing Miley Cyrus, a drug taking tattooed smoker who uses explicit sexual imagery to exploit young girls, not to mention the foul language

Nobody is saying anyone should respect politicians on a forum.
But equally a radio presenter is under no obligation to respect them either.
This is not tricky stuff. The day when a radio presenter has to respect a politician because they are a politician will be a sad day.

You are right it's not tricky stuff. Treat politicians with equal respect or don't do the job. Don't suck up to some and name call others. It is utterly unprofessional.

Ferarri? Collins? Hopkins?
Or does your "rule" only apply to JOB?

If they interview politicians they should treat them equally; especially if they present news shows like Newsnight. As you say, it's not tricky stuff. Or is JOB somehow so special, that he can switch from spoilt child to serious presenter, as the mood takes him.

They all switch personas as and when.
This JOB is subject to different standards than any other presenter is fascinating stuff.
TBH I am way more concerned about what politicians say and do than some bloke on the radio but think I understand very well why JOB is hammered on here when other presenters aren't.
He isn't a great fan of right wing politics.

Just J O'B. He's the only one who's childish enough to do it. . If it's OK why doesn't he do it on Newsnight?

That's nothing to do with it, at least, not as far as I'm concerned. It could be argued that you defend his rude, juvenile attitude because he's a fan of left wing politics.

I don't know that the people you mentioned switch personas. Ferrari, Collins and Hopkins are all known as right-wing. As such they appear as guests on news programmes and usually they are balanced by someone left-wing. JOB presents the BBC flagship news programme, so the two situations are not comparable.

He's not had a good few years has he, Tory governments, losing the most important referendum of our lives and now Donald Trump who he despises, all this has made him go aggressive and confrontational but reading on here what I have he's been reeled in and told to behave.

That's it basically. If Andrew Neil or Evan Davis referred to Sturgeon as wee Krankie, you can imagine the outcry.

I do not know. However as you seem to know much more than me about Jon Gaunt G.F.M would be better off trying to discuss him with you.

Re: Croydon tram crash. Yesterday, when I spoke to a friend who sometimes travels on the tram, he said, "I know where the tram would have de-railed, 'on that sharp bend' just past the station", (I'd explained it was near Sandilands station). He hadn't seen any photos of the incident, but was right in recognising where in fact, the tragedy occurred. Just now NF spoke of an incident that nearly took place in the self-same spot in October. A woman caller has said of her experience when she was alarmed by the speed the tram was travelling, again, on that sharp bend having left the station, (they're only supposed to travel at 12mph).

A driver has been arrested on a charge of manslaughter.

I can't help thinking the loss of peoples' lives and the injuries incurred by some 50 passengers could have SO easily been avoided.

Ferrari still droning on about this theory that the election result was a rejection of dynastic presidencies of "elites" because apparently Bill C was quoted as saying "It's her turn". I wonder if Ferrari was similarly dismissive when Bush junior was elected or his brother stood this time?

That's right on Newsnight he has to behave himself he should be made to do the same on the radio instead of forever playing the windup merchant.

I always get the impression he has a healthy disregard for all politicians.

You're very predictable. I knew that would be your next post. Disregard the naggings about cycle lanes, the cable car, water canon and general profligacy on what some might call vanity projects and refer to the fact that they are friendly. He was equally friendly with Tessa Jowell when she was Olympics minister.
