Sometimes it was difficult to hear what NF was saying what with his head so far up the Boris backside.
BTW you don't have to be much of a fortune teller to predict what folk on here will post about certain things. Do you?

Correct. NF can be friendly while asking people uncomfortable questions. He's doesn't go down the JOB "Either I love you or I hate you" route.

Would love just for once for NF to challenge callers who bang on about saudi donations to Clinton.
Ask those callers what they think about those nasty Saudis donating to the Tory party.
Surely this bastion of the media has a duty to give listeners the full story.

You mean the phone ins where he'd regularly fluster Johnson with a question, then when he sensed BJ didn't know the answer would absolutely skewer him ? One on tube fares comes to mind, Ferrari was ruthless. No mates acts at all.

The caller questions and subsequent Ferrari interventions weren't done in a gratuitously confrontational manner, maybe other presenters should take note and their audience figures wouldn't plunge so quickly.

I think Clooney should be exiled to his properties in Italy. And while he's there he should be made to take in a quota of refugees.
Also maybe James O'Brien should go on a fact finding mission to the Rust Belts and blue collar areas of USA and have a dialogue with people who live there and suffered under Obama - the places that have flipped to Republican, this would give him some insight into how they feel. Its all to easy to sit in a studio in another part of the world all comfy and well paid and insult people you don't know anything about.

Bloody Hell isn't there any light relief on here this morning? Weren't there even any amusing Vallenisms uttered today?

Mind you i did find it quite ironic to see that at least one newspaper which had slated Trump for his direspect of women was now printing nude pictures of Trump's wife...

I know not this "JO'B" about whom or what people argue. Peace and love. Ommmmmm!

Many posts criticising/defending JO'B - left/right wing matters not. We like persistent, incisive political interviewers...for example, Paxman ...and really going back, Robin Day.
What we don't need is rudeness, name-calling and a patronising attitude.
This is why I just cannot listen to JO'B these days.

First three callers to JOB have been excellent value.

Today he seems to have delighted himself with the notion that Trumps policies can with aggregated with the witty (not) catchphrase of "the 3 Ms" .......................... It wasn't clever the first time but he is slipping it in every 5 or 10 minutes now.

Can only get worse ..........off.

Haha, the rate he's going he could end up in one !!

What on earth was his obsession with "brown faces" about yesterday? I wasn't really listening, but he seemed to think when somebody does something wrong, the public are more likely to make depreciating remarks when they have a brown face. He was talking about Trump at the time, bored to death t'was I.
J O'B doesn't think Brexit and Trump's victory is largely based on peoples' skin colour does he?
I understand America's voting was more anti-establishment? Likewise in a vaguely similar way, I believe the UK became totally disenchanted with Cameron's pandering and with the EU, not to mention his inability to relate to the people.

He is a psycho-analyst's dream. He has so many issues, chips on his shoulder and bitterness from his childhood and teens he just keeps living through them again and again and again and again (ad nauseum)

As he said yesterday he finds his "show" is better than therapy (and cheaper).

And my daughter was with a group of women who were pulling her to pieces. But then she's obviously been found guilty by association and according to the new wave feminists she's not the lovely, delicate and intelligent Michelle Obama who has a 'proper' job.

He did announce his intention to tell us his "guess" as to who gets the boot from Strictly on Sunday morning. We all know this is the spiteful old git's shorthand for spoiler. Pity the Beeb don't complain to his boss.

As light relief and completely off topic, here's the new John Lewis Christmas ad. I don't usually like these but this is rather sweet.

You are right of course. I have only tuned in the past couple of days to check his reaction to the Trump vote.

Hopefully I have come to my senses now .............................

J O'B seems to have calmed down and is even sounding ever so slightly conciliatory about President Elect Trump. Only slightly but at least he's less abusive.

So he hasn't had a warning then......

And the idea that the Management at LBC would want to stop JOB turning himself up to 10 any time JOB feels like it is obviously ludicrous.....and will surely attract ridicule to anybody in Cyberspace making such a claim.....

Glad we sorted that out.

I tuned in yesterday for the first time in three years, listened to the first 20 minutes but suspect it will be (at least) another three years before I go there again.

Robert Elms on BBC London for me, a lovely easy listen with Robert's love of our city shining through. Why annoy yourselves with J'OB guys, plenty of choice out there.

The callers are of a much higher quality when compared to......let's say........Nick Ferrari......the inventor of the Trampolining Dwarf Weather Presenter - a concept immediately rejected by John Lewis for their tv ad........

Why do the best callers wait until 10am?
Surely we can figure it out between us?

JHB for me. I broke my self imposed exile to listen for the meltdown yesterday, but he disappointed

Am back in the very ample bosom of my beloved Julia again.

Out of curiosity if JHB is so great why do you never post about her on the TalkRADIO thread yet litter this place with how much you dislike JOB.
Is dislike a stronger motivation to post than like?

Why do a group of patronising, pseudo-intellectuals, flock to a former showbiz gossip reporter at 10am? I suppose it's so they can discuss why they do not win elections any more.
