Ann Coulter is an excellent political commentator whose only 'fault' is that she supports Trump.No surprise she barely registers on the British media radar.

I wonder if the MSM are going to sulk for the next four years.

Totally agree. Maajid Nawad is one of the best presenters on LBC now. Of course his 'left of Thatcher' views are going to cause one or two here to become predictably apoplectic.

I decided to read one of her books (Coulter). It was one long Hate Speech.

I did find Ann Coulter's comments over the kind of man Donald Trump is, (3.31 minutes into the interview) totally mystifying. She says, "he's obviously a gentleman" and mentioned he was 'charming' in his business dealings. Coulter then goes on to say, "I'm sure he's winning Obama over as we speak". Iain Dale started to splutter with laughter. Her narrative sounded surreal in my mind, I thought she must be 'on' something!

I thought that German MEP sounded rather Scotttish so I Googled him. Apparently he has a Scottish dad and a German mother. He was born in Berlin in the early 70s and has been prime minister of Lower Saxony. He is not the only British sounding German politician. If LBC starts giving the AFD more coverage, listen out for their leader.

For once Bangla, I agree with you. Ann Coulter is a terrible, racist, Islamophobic hate preacher. Awful, bigoted woman. And I can see the comparison between her and Hopkins, although I'm not sure they are quite in the same league.

I would pay good money to see Ann Coulter take on James O'Brien in a debate...

Pretty certain we see a lot of things differently but when we see hateful and dangerous people like this then we speak with one voice.
Just wish more people would do this.
IMO extremists from whatever rock they have crawled out from should be exposed and isolated.

Why. He is a good presenter, doesn't rant or abuse callers, and puts his views across in a measured way. I don't always agree with him but he certainly comes across as a decent person.

NF, but do we need battleships and frigates in the future?
MP, actually the Royal Navy hasn't had battleships since 1952.

I would imagine NF used the word battleship as a catch-all term, for ships used in defence or attack.

But he tagged on frigates as well.
So did he mention those two types as a catch all or because those were the two names that popped into his head?
Who knows for sure but I believe the latter to be true.

Did James O'Brien really describe his own shows last week as "fantastic"? Had the reverse effect on me as i switched to another station.....

Parky's got a book out. It's a total non-story. Mirren's a hypocrite. She's a good actress but she's never been shy about promoting her latest role by getting her boobs out!
