I think that all decent folk, from each & every political persuasion, mourn the death of Jo Cox, who was a young mother......Absolutely dreadful. There are no words to express the horror.

Is there a football game on today, involving Germany ? I could hear a game being loudly played, in the background, at the outset of Sheila's programme & someone ( Theo Usherwood ? ) shouted, whilst talking to the listeners, 'Come on Germany.'

Enjoy the Autumn statement, All x

i heard that too whilst driving yes melanie is best described as alt-right zionist. it boiled down to zionists good, muslims bad. the anti semitic rooted out, islamophobia is justified. her usual rant thats been ongoing for ever

maajicd was imprisoned after being driven out of pakistan by his colleagues - he ended up in egypt where his organisation was already outlawed. he was trying to regime change the govt at which time he was arrested. its suspected was recruited by uk intel around that time/on his return. he/org has links to alt-right / tea party and similar anti islam groups. he's at moment trying to get both feet into the trump camp.”

I've no idea if the "facts" are correct or not, as I didn't read anything on the site. And yes the source does matter. I would have thought that recent events, have taught us that virtually all sources are biased. It's mow a case of take a side and frame the "facts" accordingly.

To say that it was one thing or the other is being too simplistic. He was obviously fascinated by far right material, but he also suffered from mental health issues as he admitted (quote from the Guardian 17/06/16)

Mair could speak eloquently at times about his mental health problems. In 2010, in an article in the Huddersfield Daily Examiner newspaper, he said that he had taken up volunteering because he had discovered that it brought him greater benefit than psychotherapy or medication.

“Many people who suffer from mental illness are socially isolated and disconnected from society, feelings of worthlessness are also common, mainly caused by long-term unemployment.

“All these problems are alleviated by doing voluntary work. Getting out of the house and meeting new people is a good thing, but more important in my view is doing physically demanding and useful labour.

“For people for whom full-time, paid employment is not possible for a variety of reasons, voluntary work offers a socially positive and therapeutic alternative.”

For anyone to try to make political gain from the murder is contemptible.

lbc has to be a great place for ukip-ers and brexiters -- they get all the confirmation bias to their hearts desire.

economy tanking , near 2 trillion debt and they blame labour.

Do you go around with a billboard advertising political propaganda? I could find a footstool/instead of pedestal if you can't find a bigger soap-box elsewhere.
Iain Dale was so right about you. Please restrain your comments to a political forum rather than this LBC chit-chat thread, if you can!

I can't believe what I'm hearing. According to Ian Collins,, if we call Tommy Mair a terrrorisst, we are legitimising his terrorism. I don't recall him making claims like that about Islamic extremists but even if he did I think that's a strange argument.

Then it gets stranger. A caller from the wrong side of the Pennines seems to think this is the natural progression from peaceful protest, and that changing the voting system would prevent far-right terrorists from murdering politicians with whom they disagree.

Dinosaur snob Allen has THREE, yes THREE targets on his show this week.

1. Ola Jordan

2. Princes William and Harry

3. The Beckhams

That broken record is still playing!

Iain Collins has just argued that the reason Tommy Mair shouldn't be considered a far-right terrorist is that there isn't a co-ordinated far-right terrorist movement. If he was an Islamist he could be called a terrorist because there is a wider global Islamist terrorist movement.

That was a strange first hour.

The judge said that there was no doubt that white supremacy played a part.
If Collins believes there isn't an organised white supremasist movement then he really shouldn't be on the air.

Nigel in for Katie on Sunday. That should get a big spike, if only from all the politicos tuning in.

They exist, they are young and by Fanny's standards they don't work. It's always interesting to hear him criticising one of them undertaking Royal visits that their grandmother can no longer undertake as "holidays" when one can be sure wouldn't be the description if the Queen herself undertook them.

It may be irrational but of course Fanny knows his audience and that criticism of the Queen will not be tolerated but virtually every other "Royal" is fair game.

Was the self employed writer (blogger) the best example of a "JAM" that LBC could find to comment on the Autumn Statement at the start of NF's show this morning? Every excerpt of the speech was counterpointed by some version of "I bet he has never had to manage on £7.50 per hour". I'm by no means a fan of this government but her simplistic and puerile dismissal of every measure announced by Philip Hammond was frankly stupid and irrelevant.

Almost as bad was the former economic adviser to Thatcher who apparently believes that a desire to do the "right" things instead of the "wrong" things and a sunny disposition is all that is needed to ensure the economy prospers.

was listening to ian collins last night and thought maybe ian collins should be on a prevent watchlist ... because interestingly ian collins stated that ISIS has a legitimate grievance and is why they are called terrorists.

this as he was arguing against calling thomas mair a far right terrorist radicalised by the lies of ukip and britain first.

He rambled on about the Queen Mother the other day, claiming she had no heating or ?central heating at Windsor Castle. He must of thought she kept warm with a stone hot water bottle.

A very revealing confession from James O'Brien this morning in his opening monologue. If he was still Showbiz Editor of the Daily Express he would be trying to climb the greasy pole and would be dreaming of a job at the Daily Mail.

The CPS and Police thought he was a terrorist and he was prosecuted as such but he was charged with murder. I don't listen to Ian Collins so I'm not sure what he doesn't understand about it but here's a link to why he was prosecuted and charged the way he was ....
