I always look forward to listening to his show around 10pm but I must say that in the first hour last night it was more of a constant whining about Trump and Brexit rather than anything properly droll and mildly amusing. It's also high time he got some brand new sound effects. Plus pretending that he doesn't know what a caller has said when the call ends is just very disingenuous. Also, stop moaning about your bloody studio light automatically going out. Your listeners don't give a damn about it.
Trump is a horrific prospect, but Brexit is just the most fabulous thing the nation ever voted for.”
Thank you both - prepare yourselves for post 2 as it's going to be a looooooooong one...

Ironically he only mentioned it once but it was in every news clip with a clip of a woman going "ooh, it was so romantic..." shame it didn't affect the LBC studio...

Yes totally - even that guy has stopped calling or is being 'vetted' out - the one who would get louder & louder and angrier & angrier as he was making his point until he sounded like he was in an absolute rage about to explode!!! That always had me in stitches...

Yes, but last Saturday he did have a few callers telling him this - and I thought that may be good feedback he or his producers or LBC quality control dept (if there is one) will take on board and work with him to resolve.

He seems like he is going through the motions to me.”
You're absolutely right I forgot all about the NHS & Bankers!!!
Must be so ingrained on my mind that that area of my brain has cut itself off from the rest.
It's a shame as it's supposed to be a talkshow so callers should be allowed to talk to hear their side of the story (as Phil Collins might say) regardless if it fits in with Nicks opinion.
Nick should interact with them and using his skill & experience mould it into a light hearted entertaining experience for all his listeners...
Or have I got that completely wrong.?
Obviously if a caller becomes abusive or says something against the rules they get cutoff straight away - but I would guess they run a slight delay just in case.

Hhhmhmmhh, not sure. It definitely got much worse after B and went down the pan after T.
Or maybe it's because you've been listening to the show longer than I have and I'm only just past the run-in point and just beginning to notice.

turn your radio off if its brainwashing your worried about.
neo-fascist he isnt a lot of other things certainly

But you have to remember callers could be on the line waiting for long periods of time and may have been asked to turn off their radios during that time.
As it is a talkshow surely you have to hear callers out otherwise what's the point of a talkshow?
THEN work them into either being wrong or turn it into something light hearted for other listeners to enjoy.
On point of experts, I have to agree with both you & Nick!!! (bet you weren't expecting that)
Nick does talk a lot about them but I do tend to agree with him for reasons I won't go into here to avoid sound like him.

That is an excellent source of material!!! Instead of playing that lame 'blipblipblip' sound bite he should work the caller and their subject matter - as any good comedy club compere will tell you "you got to work the crowd and the show will make itself"...
I thought last nights show was refreshing as it had minimum T & B content and despite being predominantly about religion was easygoing listening with no rudely cutoff callers - there was that one woman comparing religion to electricity who suddenly disappeared - if NA did cut her off it was excellent comedy timing which had me in stitches and brought back memories of the Nick I love...
I am looking forward to tonights show with fingers crossed that it will be more of the same and the 'good ole Nick' days are back....
*!*!* Maybe we could have a whip round and get him some new sound bites for Christmas? *!*!*
