Seriously, yes she's had some great shows.... I particularly recommend her tearing Sarah Olney to shreds so much she left the interview after 3 minutes.... wicked woman she is..

No the remark went something like a 'stench in the studio' as someone said classy guy or should that be nasty guy.

Clegg
Earned £22,500 from Goldman Sachs for a talk on the EU
Earned £35,000 from PepsiCo for a talk on the EU
Earned £36,000 from Barclays for a talk on the EU

Cleggs wife earns £500k pa as an EU trade lawyer

If we are out of the EU I would suggest that Mr Cleggs opinion becomes an irrelevancy.......Like it is in the UK

Milliband
Pro EU, his stated aim was to keep the UK in the EU and would not give its citizens a vote, it's still his stance, he has ignored the democratic will and is trying his best to stop Brexit. In return for his loyalty he was expecting a role as an EU Commisioner ala Kinnock & Mandelson

The EU is a well known stomping ground for failed politicians from EU members.

Baroness Kinnock
EU total salary drawn £775k
Allowances claimed £4.6m
Pension £68k per annum

Baron Kinnock
EU total salary drawn £1.8m
Allowances claimed £750k
Pension £96k per annum

Peter Mandelson
EU salary £182k per annum
Parachute payment to cover loss of office and pension when he returned to the UK
As Lord Mandelson before the end of his EU term £1m

That's enough for you to be going on with, you may wish to do your own research.

That's the gravy train I was referring to GFM……..please do try and keep up!!”

Can anyone add to this and explain what any of the afore mentioned have ever done for man or beast other than line their own pockets?

This simply isn't true! Ed Milliband is opposed to a second vote on EU withdrawal and accepts the result of the referendum. To say "he has ignored the democratic will" is wrong. He never wanted to be an EU Commissioner and always said he wanted to continue to serve his Doncaster constituents. What is the source of your outrageous claims?

Since his monumental defeat Milliband is a political irrelevancy, however If he is supporting Brexit, then I've not seen or heard him say as much.

Reported on 16th October 2016
“Yesterday it emerged that former Labour leader Ed Miliband has held secret talks with Remain-supporting Tories to force a Commons vote that could veto any move to quit the single market.
The cross-party alliance of proBrussels MPs being put together by Mr Miliband also includes former Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg and a number of Scottish Nationalist politicians.”

Milliband is fully aware that remaining in the single market means allowing free movement of EU citizens and making financial contributions to the EU..........that's about as far from Brexit as you can get.

You state that he has no desire for an EU role, a friend of my husbands who works at the Palace of Westminster says otherwise.

Might I remind you of another former senior labour MP who stated that he wasn't interested in a role.........and then grabbed it with both of his grubby hands.

John Prescott of Kingston-upon-Hull, despite previously saying he was opposed to becoming a peer, did in fact become Baron Prescott of Kingston upon Hull.
Before being sworn into the House of Lords, the former deputy prime minister rejected the charge of hypocrisy, and wrote on Twitter that he would use the position to hold the government to account, and as a platform to campaign for issues he believes in.
Prescott denied reports that he did not want the "flunkery and titles" of the House of Lords, despite saying as much in an interview with the Scotsman two years previously

I take the view that MP’s earn trust as a consequence of their actions…..and not their empty promises.

I think he's done what a lot of Labour (and Tory) politicians have done and come out in favour of a 'soft' Brexit, ie - keep the single market and open borders, the main EU shackles that we want to free ourselves from. They'll go along with the principle of Brexit but only tinker round the edges. In other words, why bother?

Morning all.

He hasn't got all that much choice other than to accept it has he seeing as his own Doncaster constituents voted in the referendum to leave the EU by a whopping 104,260 to 46,922.

Ed, like most of the rest of them will know which side of his bread is buttered.

In a nutshell what you are saying is exactly what the remain people want, "we respect the result" [waffle waffle waffle] but they want to keep us in the single market thus preventing us controlling our borders, having our own sovereignty and still paying in.

They don't want to leave the EU at all that is the truth.

They'd have to take a door off to squeeze him in.

I wonder how many of the gullible fans were fooled when he was pretending to have found one of the 'special' £5 notes.

They didn't have any luck selling the £750 box at the Hippodrome so it's being sold off as single seats. Hurry, hurry!

Excellent summary Gurney

I wasn't born in '75 for the last EU referendum but I think I'm right in that it was a simple 'In/Out' vote.
Soft & Hard Brexit is a nonsense, a wet dream for the liberals who refuse to accept the result.

NF giving Keir Starmer an easy ride, yes the government took the case to court, but only because it was challenged in a previous court decision that the HOC had to vote on it first! Why didn't you mention this, Nick?

Morning all

I voted remain
I do not like the result ,just have to put up with it
But not sure what all this "respecting "the result is all about
The UKIP MEP said on NF earlier that leaving and a free trade agreement is what we want
And I suspect it is what we will get .

Not sure why shared that .

However last night I was listening to a discussion about robots following the speech given by Mark Carney and found myself quite comforted by Ian Collins' stance , talking about the possible social consequences
Am I now living in some sort of parallel universe?

Morning all
