This is for Steve A if he is in here.

The abundant luscious charms of Ms Vergara are on Sky Hits [310] at this very moment.

Somehow think he wouldn't be interested.

He's mentioned a couple of times that they're negotiating to get a very very exciting guest for In Conversation over Christmas. My money's on Cliff Richard. I can't think who else would get Steve all steamed up.

Ms Witherspoon also looks rather good in her little red number if that helps attract him

Very, very exciting might mean Daniel Radcliffe again. 'He's so young, so handsome, so talented and so rich'.

Whilst I don't wish to hear men swear or belittle either men or women, it is a fact of life.
My husband plays rugby, drinks beer and has 'banter' with his mates.
They are all lovely guys who are mysoginistic, drunk, and loud on occasions.........although not normally in front of their wives and girlfriends.
It's too easy these to be offended by anything and everything..........I find a deep breath and a large glass of Pinot is the answer to most things, life is too short

So they save their mysoginistic behaviour for other people's wives and daughters.
Aye, life's too short and so these idiots should quit making other folks lives miserable.

You really are a 'glass half empty' type of person Bangles......it doesn't have to be that way you know!

I don't like to interject but I couldn't disagree more. Once a misogynist - always a misogynist - regardless of a 'glass half empty' cliché.

Not sure about that, GS. I think the "Back to Basics" Major and the clearly irresistible Currie affair takes some beating.

Oo-er, taking a shine against righty observations from g-s? All very plausible apparently - not! Just nail your colours to the mast, if you dare.

Or Tom Daley perhaps. He disappeared fairly rapidly after the olympics and hasn't showed up again since.

Lol Cayce. Just trying to bring some balance to proceedings. Probably not something that you are familiar with.

You underrate moi , I listen to Shelagh Foggy to provide balance, preferring her approach, to the infamous juvenile 10am incumbent, J O'B. There, I said it.

Another thing Labour are rubbish at ... They can't even manage a decent sex scandal

I agree with you PJ.

I've worked in a male dominated environment my entire working life and think I think I can tell the difference between blokes being a bit mouthy and having a laugh and the guy who genuinely has issues with woman.

Obviously groups of women when out together and had a few drinks never say anything remotely offensive about blokes ....

I know when to be offended and when not. I can't spend my life being angry about everything.

He cannot even defend his attendance record. He says: So What?
He doesn't care.
Why are we wasting public money on an MEP who doesn't care?”

Why are we wasting money on MEP's full stop?

Pretty sure most people don't give a stuff whether their MEP is attending or not. I'd even go as far as to suggest an awful lot of people don't have a clue who their MEP even is!

I'm far more concerned about my actual MP attending votes and session is Parliament.

Well done, Cayce. I find both shows too tedious a listen.

I thought PJ mentioned rugby guys with misogynistic issues behind girlfriends/wives backs. I do have broad shoulders, but can't understand why a 'male dominated environment' has persuaded you so, in loving the post?

PJ said ... 'They are all lovely guys who are mysoginistic, drunk, and loud on occasions.........although not normally in front of their wives and girlfriends.' ..

Because I was the only female on my team for a long time I sort of became 'one of lads' so to speak and they used to speak fairly robustly infront of me but it was all bravado for the most part and I wouldn't stand for any [i]real[/i ]misogyny. You see plenty of women doing exactly the same thing - just watch Loose Women. Could you imagine if there was a panel of men on a TV show talking the way they do about guys?

Anyway, it's just how I feel. I just can't get wound up by it.

You don't need to have heard of MFamily or Sofia Vergara Gurney...it's not your paid job...if your paid job is to at least be aware of popular culchur.......then you should at least do a little research....seeing as he's back in Twickers by 10:30 most days he can at least read a few web sites or watch some streamed TV........

But I only heard the other week...the man obsessed with Christmas.............. does no actual shopping at local businesses (despite turning their lights on) gets everything from Amazon sent direct to his family.... not even using the gift wrap service....he lets the recipients do it...

. then drops into one lunch before heading for another doing miles of driving
He really does need to get to Brinsworth tout suite........

Yes, the obsession with Christmas is baffling; I'm sure a psychologist would have a field day with it. A desire to relive his childhood possibly. As you say, he takes very little active part in the preparations, apart from talking about them. He buys lights and decorations every year which no doubt sit around in their boxes until he chucks them out, ready for next year's. I doubt if he'd go to the trouble of putting them up as he never has visitors. Christmas dinner seems to be the highlight of his year. It might have been when he was young in the days before factory farming but now you can have turkey any day of the week. His friends in Essex and his brother at the coast seem to have their celebrations dominated by his timetable; presumably he picks up the bills. I wonder what he'd do if they decided to go on a winter cruise!

Morning all.

Technical cock-up this morning. Halfway through In Conversation with Matthew Bourne they stopped for the ad break. Painfully long silence and then the emergency tape kicked in: In Conversation with Mark Curry and Boy George! Luckily the engineer woke up and it was back to normal.

Some of us never had turkey anyway. I actually prefer chicken! To me the only benefit of turkey is the size of the bird that you can get. But chicken like turkey is no longer 'special' (my parents told me it used to be a luxury meat).
Maybe that's why most people I know actually do two meats for the Christmas dinner table ie chicken or turkey plus pork or ham or even beef.

Andrew Castle is discussing the recent child sex abuse claims within football circles. He then said, "doesn't it make you scared to take your child to school everyday". Is this an unhealthy attempt at hyperbole to bump up LBC listening figures, or does he live in a bubble believing child abuse has only become prevalent in this epoch?
