The LBC schedule says that "The Morning News with Lisa Aziz" is making a return! It is on the schedule for Wednesday 21st December.
I've missed this slot since it finished, sometimes straight after just getting up Stevie boy is just too much to take at that time.

TBH I'm not bothered. Nobody posts pics of themselves so you usually end up with Homer Simpson or one of their grandchildren.

This snippet undeniably smacks of the general opinion from posters over the years:
"O’Brien – unlike on his radio show where he benefits from the significant wake of the ever-popular Nick Ferrari breakfast show audience – is not someone of sufficient gravitas or interviewing talent who can revive Newsnight. His problem on Newsnight as opposed to radio is you can see the dreadful uncertainty in his eyes. Even before he’s asked the first question to a Tory politician, you as the viewer know he daily displays his leftie bias on LBC and all you think is here we go … more prejudice and partisanship". |

Why buy an Armani dress when you can buy from M&S, why visit Portofino when you can go to Cleethorpes and ride a donkey, why swim in the med at Cannes when you can have a dip in the Serpentine..........the world is full of choices, and whichever way you cut it the Meriva is dull, uninspirational, plodding, unloved, ugly and insignificant.
What you need to remember is this. The thread is a mixture of LBC chit-chat....(and very good that is).....and......increasingly desperate attempts to attack a radio presenter that you listen to everyday, even though you are officially one of the 200,000 in the 1 Million JOB listeners who are "not listening". Your post was easily the most desperate, laughable and random attack on James O'Brien since someone decided that JOB's sister-in-law was an appropriate target for random attack. I wonder how that ended? (I don't recall) There are 2 problems here. 1. What JOB drives is none of your business and certainly has nothing to do with the output of LBC. 2. It seems that somebody on an entertainment forum who has spent half of their life watching "Coach Trip" and "My Big Fat Benefits" is trying to lecture James O'Brien about "discernment" and "taste". ROTFL Are you getting my drift Phoebe?

IMO the views are out of date. This week he looked very comfortable. He has been on Newsnight for some time now and has locked horns with several Left Wing Politicians.
"Emily Thornberry and her ilk thrive on being fed Lines by James O’Brien, but then when he questions a Tory he seems to become this talking head, the question he’s asking seems to take up half the program ( he also has this annoying habit of moving his head constantly from side to side when asking a question, like some demented dog)." |

Ah yawn ... oh we are back !!!
Right a question I wanted to ask before we were rudely interupted ... what has happened to Simon Conway, Joanne Webb and Charlotte Wright ? Certainly Simon and Joanne disappeared together (nudge, nudge!) a couple of weeks ago, mid-week. Joanne returned this morning.I can't remember when I last heard Charlotte. |

How lovely, I imagine the interior is like a Gentlemans Club.
It's the sort of beautiful vehicle that James Robertson Justice would have been ferried around in in those fifties 'Doctor' films. PS I caught JOB on Newsnight last night, he looks decidedly uncomfortable on that show, and even more uncomfortable in that ill fitting cheap looking suit, with his tie badly done up. He appeared to be wearing a pair of desert boots too, it just looked all wrong. Give me a man in a dark navy Italian suit, crisp white shirt with a cut away collar, double cuffs, nice cuff links, highly polished black shoes (lace ups of course) and a beautiful Italian silk tie tied in a Windsor knot........sigh! 😀 ![]() ![]() and in answer yes...it's sumptuous maroon leather and just had the walnut dashboard redone which looks stunning.....very Pall Mall old tobacco club....

Try to focus Phoebe! We are discussing your attack on JOB because of his apparent lack of interest in "Cars". Or because he owns a Volvo? WTF!

ROTFL Are you getting my drift Phoebe? ![]() ![]() while we know not everyone shares our love of classic and modern cars and motorcycles we are having a laugh .... yes a laugh as it sums up his quinoa eating, yoghurt knitting chiswick image to be a sandal wearing, beardie leftie in leafy west london..... and therefore is in direct relation to his output on LBC....what Phoebe likes is also up to her... i can watch trash and serious so can anyone... this is chit-chat and it used to be funny off and on....since I've been away it seems to have got more serious and less light hearted with so many earnest political statements etc.... lighten up folks this is supposed to be fun.... |

Why is Katie Hopkins (in the trailer) exasperated about so called claims that Brexit voters are "thick"?
The research (by Professor John Curtice) was not very complimentary, but it did not say that. The findings relating to the Brexit Demographic were slightly more subtle than that...... |

The previous versions lacked the intellectual capacity to challenge any of the Liberal views expounded by JOB.....they just knew that they felt rage when they were "not listening" every weekday. And so....the dumbed down attacks on JOB (and sometimes the O'Brien family) started.Lots of posts with no relationship whatsoever to this thread or to the output of LBC. But it is always fun waiting for the next one.

I would hate to be given a compartmentalised label such as ..........Left wing, mung bean eating, soap dodging, tree hugging, petrol hating, remoaning EU lover, hair shirt wearing, Corbynista luvvie (tick as appropriate). You can tell a lot about a person by the car they drive, suit they wear, b*llocks they preach. 😜 |

Diddums! Your post instantly reads as if only the intellectually superior posters qualify for comment on J O'B? Not a certain discernible snobbery to detect is there, amongst the Metropolitan Liberal Elites? No clue in the name?

But it is always fun waiting for the next one. ![]() I know it suits you to label those who don't worship at the font of JOB as 'Haters', but that description simply highlights your prejudices. I dislike O'Briens relentless diatribes, his bullying of certain callers, his baiting, his inability to see two sides of the coin, the fact that he keeps telling me he is 44, that he lives in Chiswick. I dislike his permanent 'I'm right and you're wrong stance', his dismissal of Brexit, his rudeness to 'Farridge'..........Why? Because he could be so much better, he is clearly intelligent......but he isn't smart, he can be charming.....but also downright rude, he comes across as 'tabloid radio' when he could be 'broadsheet', he is closed minded and utterly opinionated.......when he could be open and accepting. He shuts down debate.....when he should be encouraging it. That is why I don't especially rate your hero, if it offends you, which it certainly seems to......maybe Internet forums aren't the place to hangout !! In a nutshell, JOB is like most Liberals that I have encountered. He claims to want to give a hearing to other views.......but then is shocked and offended to discover that there are other views. You may have fallen into the same trap? |
