Does anyone still discuss LBC on this thread or is it just an outlet for extreme right-wingers, Islamophobes and hard Brexiteers to spout their hate?
Looks like it. Sadly, this Thread has changed a lot over the last few years.

Steve had been talking about his favourite Gene Pitney songs one was 'Backstage' and the other was 'Trans Canada Highway'. He said hit had an usual beginning and loved the chorus so the producer obviously found it for him so he played a little snippet ...
Thanks for that.

I imagine regular presenters have time off on public holidays written into their contracts, especially the ones like J O'B who need to factor school holidays into their schedule. It's always been the practice across the broadcasting media. to bring in subs over Bank Holidays. I doubt if you'll see Fiona Bruce or Kay Burley dispensing news over the next week.

LBC schedule pages seem to be in the process of being updated for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
On Monday the schedule has Nigel Farage between 1-3pm. However, his name is in faded grey ! I wonder if it has anything to do with this morning's incident ?

He was taking calls about the assassination of the Russian Ambassador in Turkey and one chap rang in basically saying it served him right
Nick was furious
Said he was sick to his stomache

No I don't think so Martin. I reckon those schedules are still only a very rough guide to be taken with a dose of salt. Katie Hopkins and Majjid both said at the end of their shows the other day that they wouldn't be back until the 9th January (meaning for their regular weekend shows). I reckon they'll still be some juggling to be done yet.

Also let's be honest. What Farage has said today was hardly libellous or insulting. I can't imagine Hope Not Hate are doing anything much other than throwing their toys out of the pram to try and cause a fuss.

I don't believe that allegations which are unproven should be used against a person in an argument which has nothing to do with the allegations.

I am just surprised that everyone is so interested in Brendan Cox's opinions. What happened to Jo Cox was horrible, an absolute tragedy. But why does that make her widower's opinions on various current affairs a part of the national news, when the topic being discussed has nothing to do with Jo Cox?

I do not understand why Brendan Cox's views are seemingly being taken above everyone else's.

What an awful thing to say. For all the good calls on his show, Ferrari gets his fair share of crackpots ringing in.

It sounds like Nick Ferrari handled it well like the consummate professional he is. So different to the way that James "Goodbye Caller" O'Brien cuts callers off for getting the better of him.

This is quite crass. Wouldn't they rather people donated to their charity than donated to their campaign to take Nigel Farage to court?

Notice that they do not quote Farage at all on their campaign page- only that he "launched an attack on us". I wonder why they didn't tell their supporters what he actually said?

Presumably the media will now provide us with constant updates of how much this campaign has raised.

HNH has an interesting list of notable members;
Eddie Izzard, Lord Sugar, Baroness Glenys Kinnock, Fiona Phillips, Billy Bragg, Paloma Faith, Dermot O'Leary.......essentially the usual bunch of labour luvvies.
I'm surprised that they are not dipping into their offshore accounts to fund the fight with Farage.

Mind you, I'm sure this list will loosen the zips on a few wallets and purses from certain contributors of these pages
