Oh, I remember now. I actually gave money to charity of my own volition rather than asking people to buy a ticket to listen to me talk cr*p. I don't recall if I donated anything on that particular evening. But I can send you my accounts if you'd like.

Some people aren't happy until someone is 'inactive'. Must give them a sense of achievement.

Forgive me! I tend to skim and skip the political point scoring posts or anything mentioning JOB as its usually slagging him off. I mistakenly skipped your post.

You're not alone. I confess it makes me grumpy when stuff is repeated or questions asked which have been answered previously. It happens on all forums and discussion groups, not just this one. I put my irritation at it down to crotchety old age!

Infairness to you a lot of stuff gets lost on this thread because of the bickering and domination of certain posters.

I have done it myself. Person A asks a question (as I am working my way down the thread).

I answer the question, and my answer appears at the end of the thread.

Person B answers the original question a few posts down.

So the question has been answered twice !

Thanks for posting this excellent observation, with which I wholeheartedly agree.

Oh yes please! It's a real ear-worm. I'm sick to death of finding myself singing 'We're walking in the air...'.!

A pity more don't use the LBC Politics thread. It would save the bickering, point scoring from those with opposite views where never the twain shall meet et al.
Enjoy your Christmas chinnie. x

The purpose of the ad is initially to get you to 'recognise' the product. Achieved !
Then they want you to go out and buy it .... you will pop into HMV and start singing it, and the sales assistant will immediately produce a copy for you. You will hand over your credit card, and somebody will be getting a lovely Christmas present !!!!!!!

A very Happy 'Ebenezer Scrooge' Christmas to you, HHGTTG x

It's not cliquey to post such greetings. It is called.....being friendly. Nowt wrong with that, surely

Apologies if this has been posted already, but fully concurring with recent posts, I also tend to skim much of this thread these days so may have missed it.

Another ex-LBC presenter is joining BBC Radio London; Petrie Hosken will be presenting the Early Breakfast show (0500-0700) from 3rd January, albeit it for only 3 months.

I never liked her on LBC - too stroppy, but maybe she will be different on a new station. BBC Radio London has mellowed Duncan Barkes so anything is possible.

Ooh, I wonder what's happening to Niki Bedi - is she just taking a break if it's only 3 months?

I am surprised that she hasn't got herself a job on one of the BBC National services, or World Service as BBC London has less audience than LBC. Also, of course, she will be competing with Steve Allen, owner of 'the spike' !!
