Another gotta love Steve moment. Apparently if we are lonely we should just shout at the radio. OK Steve but will it make your dinner when you're not feeling well enough to do it yourself; will it give you a hug just cos you need one? Emmm.

I always enjoy NF's interactions about the financial world with David Bewick, they are able to cut through the bullmud and give us the top line facts.
The big financial stories this week have been these two. 1) FTSE 100 enjoys longest run of closing highs since 1997 😀 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/...e-uk-services/ 2) The Bank of England admits to getting it wrong over Brexit financial doom & gloom http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/...ief-economist/ Im betting that Gobber JOB will ignore this welcome, positive news........and continue with his "All of you leavers have voted to be poorer" claptrap. That is why he is a mediocre broadcaster at best, he is too entrenched in his personal liberal view of the world and unable to offer any form of balance. As evidenced by the lack of heavyweight guests who can be arsed to appear on his show It's Ferrari who down the years interviews Ken Livingstone (when mayor) Boris, Cameron, Osbourne, Farage, Clegg, Digby-Jones, Police Commissioners Stevens & Hogan-Howe and many more. Whilst Gobber gets that mockney fool Jamie Oliver & Frank Lampard (which of course was purely by default as Lampard simply phoned in to defend Gobbers defamation of him). Farage appeared once and soon realised that he would not have a fair, considered, intelligent and mature debate with Gobber, who was just interested in launching into frothing, snarling, attack dog mode. What does the listener learn from such an unprofessional interaction, apart from seeing the presenters prejudices laid bare? |

Why do they keep giving this irrelevant party the time of day? One MP they've got....ONE.
Here are the facts, which help to explain LBC's reasoning; SNP 2015 election - 1.45m votes Lib Dems 2015 election - 2.4m votes UKIP 2015 election - 3.88m votes So, as many people voted for UKIP as both other parties combined, if LBC is to be a broader church than just the views of the presenter on the 10-1 slot then it needs to offer a cross section of views as they are now a national station. It's interesting to note that politicians of ALL parties only ever seem give interviews to Ferrari & Iain Dale..........have you ever asked yourself WHY? |

![]() You know very well my opinion of dear Nigel but it can't be denied that he comes across well on the radio. This guy sounds like a night club bouncer. |

So being a MEP doesn't count? I find it amusing that many who wish to stay in the excellent EU, totally discount our elected MEPs as having any standing in the UK.

He's no Farage that's for sure.

What happened, were you thrown out of a club for having a pedantic discussion with the barman over the true definition of whether your cocktail was "shaken rather than stirred"? 😜 |

That's an interesting point you make Super Steve........I imagine you've said the same when they have Alex Salmond on?

Every single time UKIP have contested a seat against the SNP, that UKIP have lost their deposit every time. That's for both Holyrood and Westminster elections. |

They have brought about the most momentous change that I can remember for a very long time. They have actually made parliament sit up and listen to the people. |

It could be that LBC tell the politicians that they want them to appear on either Breakfast or Drive, since they are the main headline programmes on the station.
Some might draw the conclusion that JOB can't be trusted to offer 'balanced' coverage. It rather limits someone being seen as 'a heavyweight broadcaster' if they are never selected for the 'Big events & interviews' and left simply observing from the periphery. |

Was listening to Nick heard the subject matter for today from JOB, thought listen on, seems safe from reference to Trump, Brexit and Farage. Well he just can't help but wind in Trumps name repeatedly with Rape, Race etc., taking a serious subject and using it as an opportunity to snipe / associate Trump. I've no great truck with Trump, but think this is out of order.

2) The Bank of England admits to getting it wrong over Brexit financial doom & gloom http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/...ief-economist/ He said it was "almost as though the referendum had not taken place" and that people's spending power had not been "materially dented" in 2016. (BBC) Wow Andy! I see what you are saying there! It is almost as if we are still in the Eu. ![]() It is almost as if Cameron refused to trigger Article 50 on the 28th June 2016. ![]() The "big story this week" was Theresa May's top diplomat in Brussels quitting becasue Theresa May was unable to share her Brexit negotiating strategy with her top diplomat in Brussels. JOB gave that story plenty of time and the "explanation" from Leavers was embarrassing. (See the LBC website) Jill Saward is a great topic. She helped women to be just a little bit safer from Donald Trump. |
