What a weak LBC line up yesterday.

Why is it that as soon as a Bank Holiday comes along all the regular presenters disappear? Just as there's time to sit and listen to people we normally only catch in passing, they're all nowhere to be seen.

Presumably, like you, they expect to get Bank Holidays off.

Morning all.

You'd expect them to go that little bit further given their celebrity status and their six or even seven figure salaries. Hardly comparable with likes of me.

John Stapleton presenting the lunchtime show this weekend.

That's assuming that she chose to leave, of course...

With DM away, Ken getting to speak a lot more. DM dominates that show too much, IMO.

Well, I will very much miss her x

She was over the top, at times- but her animation & exuberance was catching. As said, she was never boring !

Bev C is incapable of proper deep thinking & Sheila, I am sorry to say, is just dull....

Happy Easter to you all x

Blimey! Crick having a right go at Ken about anti-semitism in the Labour party.

Good morning to you makeba,

It's not the same without DM, though. IMO, they are the perfect match. David's arrogance is a perfect foil for Ken's droning....

I prefer it when Ken doesn't take the lead. It's been one long love-in about Jeremy Corbyn, this morning

No offence to his supporters

Morning CC, and hope you have a lovely Easter.

I agree with you to a point about DM. I'd say that they used to be the perfect match, but somewhere along the line a tipping point was reached when DM's ego inflated to the point of spoiling the balance of the show.

I'm hearing more of Crick than Ken this morning. I think Ken prefers to leave it to his other half to do most of the questioning.

I'm sorry to hear Petrie's leaving. She was a real stalwart at LBC and took over filling-in duties after James Max left and was very dependable. I never bought into the 'faux outrage' criticism. She was just feisty but never deserving of the opprobrium directed at her here. I think LBC made a big mistake removing PH from the weekday lunchtime slot which she had settled into well. Neither of her 2 replacements after have either stayed the course or have done as good a job.

I for one will be interested to see where she goes from here and the best of luck to her.

IIRC she left the lunchtime programme at her own request because she was writing a book (s) at the time.

I presume you wanted to wish her the best of luck

She was one of the best LBC presenters. I enjoyed listening to her most of the time when I did. Hopefully Darren Adam replaces her. I don't want somebody dull to take that slot.

I have noticed a few gaps in the TalkRadio schedule so if she got a weekend show there I wouldn't be surprised.

Does Ken Livingstone really think that the likes of Corbyn,Abbot and him will get the keys to N 10, I can't believe he is that delusional. I laughed out loud when he said Corbyn would be the next prime minister.

Has Darren Adam lightened his topics in the overnight slot? Whilst I find him likeable he can delve into politics in the wee small hours.

BiB. Yes I think they did, especially with the benefit of hindsight when you look at who's filled her shoes since.

Did you also notice how Ken wriggled out of the question when asked of the anti-Semitic notables he'd been seen with?

Give Andrew Pierce O'Brien's 10am-1pm slot.

More shows for Fanny Allen then. Seems to be the way it goes at LBC!
