Should do. Hate them or like them they are an interesting mix and confident enough to speak their minds.

Poor Radio. He doesn't really listen and develop the arguments, stuck in a mental rut?”

I agree he's a bit dull and doesn't really challenge his callers on discussion topics.

And why on earth did he allow that caller to recite a poem on air?
Are LBC looking for a potential Keats or Tennyson? :confused

Oh the poem! Yes he should have got him to the point and not wasted time it always ends up a fail.

I am sorry Olly Mann is going. I liked him, but he wasn't very controversial with outrageous opinions, so I suppose LBC want someone more challenging. Surely they can't keep Beverley Turner.

I love it when a particular Politician or Policy is in trouble and Ken and Dave rip them a new @rsehole.

Three hours of the pair on a Saturday morning would be great. I enjoy listening to Ken re-write Political History in his favour and Dave jovially put him straight.

Actually, I have been surprised at just how often DM agrees with Ken's version of events and how muck was spread about him. It's been quite enlightening.

That would make sense. Steve always worked well on a later Sunday morning and I think a 7-9 slot would be perfect.

I think Hopkins is a shoe in for a permanent slot somewhere if she's now well enough.

Petrie Hoskin might not be on the presenters' list but Olly Mann is still there, so it might not be too reliable. Unfortunately Beverley Turner is still there. Programme details are unavailable for next Saturday and Sunday.

Olly's still showing on Friday's schedule, too. The LBC website is well known for being a bit crappy and well behind the times!

Actually I think that's why he is such a refreshing change. He doesn't have any more or any less knowledge than the average listener, and is happy to admit as such, so is therefore open to any information imparted by callers. He doesn't pretend or try to present a political hard-hitting programme, along with preconceived ideas and an undying conviction that he must be right.

I have warned you about Missster Sssswarbrick before, but a good point is worth repeating. His delivery may be fairly polished, but he is a glaring and blatant example of a horrendously smug and arrogant lefty-wefty. When callers offer up views that he does not agree with he looks down his nose at them and dismisses them rather than considering them and engaging with them. This is a defense mechanism which is employed by cowards with weak arguments that would ultimately get trounced if they were to debate openly in the arena of ideas.

I would say the LBC presenters adopt a Devil's Advocate stance on topics, there is no use having callers say.....yes I agree with you 100% send them all home, cut benefits for migrants......LBC has a much lower number of listeners than 5 years ago....being right-wing will keep people listening....

I'm afraid I never really liked Olly Mann's show. The odd sarky comment about a tweet probably sent in good faith put me off him, I wish him well but wouldn't miss him.

BIB - What makes you say that? According to RAJAR, they have the highest listening figures ever.

Bev has tweeted about being on holiday at the moment, but news of an exciting new show soon...

My guess is they just extend all the shows back to three hours to fill the gaps.

Perhaps she will co-present a weekend show with JOB (as they're besties) which is why his 'boss' took him out to lunch before he went on holiday. Just dreaming and hoping...

Well, I said on another forum that they might wheel Brian back in at weekends for a show.

Maybe like they did with Brian Hayes back in the day with a 'Hayes on Sunday' slot between 10am and 1pm. Or maybe they'll get Mildrid back in in his old slot!

Yes he admitted he was unsure of next week's times at present.

During his hour on younger people being more pro EU I noticed he was very defensive when the anti EU-ers phoned in. Possibley because after admitting to being only 35 years old himself, he is too young to remember the anti EU political turmoil of the early - mid nineties after maastricht etc.

Surely, not I can't imagine her hosting an, ' Exciting show.'

John Stapleton always seems in a rush. He is looking to move on - before the caller has started !!

Another blissful week without James Let's hope that he is enjoying his, ' holibobs.'

He has...a few bob in the bank....don't you know

Happy Monday to all x

Just before 6.30am Steve read out what has happened in the Archers, and yes I know it's all over twitter (and probably the newspapers). I'm not able to listen on a daily basis so always listen to the omnibus on Sunday, have been doing this for years (even listening online if I'm away) and it's a big favourite of mine. Why does Steve do this, he doesn't listen to the Archers, he would have slagged off most of the characters by now if he did. He realised what he had done because he immediately followed it up with "oh, should have given a warning" followed by more or less 'but so what' in a very mocking tone. Badly done Steve, many people listen on catch-up, podcasts etc these days, I'm sure I'm not the only person who is peed with him

So Castle and Hopkins in, Hosken and Mann out, and everyone else shuffled around.

I'm glad Stig Abell is getting a longer slot. Good to have Sunday Breakfast back too and Andrew Castle is a very capable presenter.

Thanks for that, g-s. Good morning to you.

I have just heard the LBC announcement about KH & Andrew Castle.

Bev, still there - but relegated to Saturday, pre Sex show
