Plenty of us listen to it occasionally. I used to listen to Steve Allen after 7 on a sunday morning though it would seem the LBC program controller decided he was too interesting and funny and they needed someone to put the listeners back to sleep so andrew castle is from from 7 now.

I listen to.

Nick Ferrari.
Tom Swarbrick.
Ian Collins.
Steve Allen (sometimes)
Ken and David.
Iain Dale.
Darren Adam.
Clive Bull.
Ian Payne.

And also the great Petrie Hosken now sadly departed.

I listen to Nick Ferrari's show every day (first half of the show before work, second half on the podcast normally) but that's the extent of my LBC listening at the moment apart from the occasional listen to Stig Abell or Iain Dale.

I get most my news from Ferrari's show and the BBC News 10pm bulletin in the evenings, with the occasional foray into the journalistic wasteland that is online news. Any more news than that and it starts to become somewhat repetitive and dull in my opinion, unless there's a really important news story breaking.

Its like being forced to read a newspaper front page 30 times over instead of the whole of the paper. Suffice to say I rarely listen to the station anymore. Even Ferraris show is a political snoozefest these days.”

hes far too right wing for my ears.

I think the show spent a bit too long covering the Cologne attacks though and this meant that they were unable to fit in one of their advertised segments- the new Afghan schoolgirl character on Sesame Street. I would have been interested to hear more about that and what people's opinions were on it rather than the Cologne attacks which have been covered in quite a lot of depth already. Still, Cologne appears to be a subject which Ferrari has great interest in talking about and he obviously believed it took precedence over the Sesame Street story. However in the last hour of the programme on a Friday morning I would have preferred something a bit more light-hearted to go with the Sweden segment, but I appreciate that Sesame Street is hardly "leading the news agenda".”

ferrari loves the anti muslim stories, he even entertained a female caller - paula - this morning who apart from being anti muslim/islam, anti europe, anti cameron and warned about the new world order blamed goldman sachs for being behind it all.

ferrari agreed with her

Hopkins was completely taken aback and must said "Thanks, Stig" and continued her show. Perhaps that's why Stig has been moved to Sunday afternoons now that Hopkins has been given Bev's old slot.

Nick Ferrari seems to get on well with Steve Allen, and the two of them occasionally have a light-hearted or friendly joke at each other's expense during their programmes. Nick and James O'Brien seem to get on as well and their handovers are usually quite jovial but I doubt they meet up for coffee or anything!

Steve Allen, Iain Dale and Ian Collins have all strongly criticised James O'Brien in the past and don't like him.”

they all get on with each other. they all shared the same political ideology, the differences are in the nuance but nothing major

pegida pin up is spot on.

1) BIB. So do I see "a pattern emerging" - one of your own political making? Accusing others of the self-same thing. Priceless!

2) Red Alert: Political debate creeping up to saturation point. Whatever happened to the LBC 97.3 Politics thread? Has it become devoid?

3) Political arguments - infinitely boring as no one wins. RE: Left/right-wing politics - 'ne'er the twain shall meet'. Best to recognise the major differences rather than argue the toss indefinitely, methinks.

This language from Andrew Pierce is completely over the top.

Even on the basis of the very limited information we have about the evidence from "Nick" it seems obvious why an investigation proceeded.
Is he suggesting that there should have been no investigation?

"When they realised there was no evidence" - Andrew Pierce.

When have the Police said that there was no evidence?
The Police have told journalists that there was not enough evidence to trigger the arrest of a living person.

Is Andrew Pierce's right-wing sensibilities distracting you, apart from what he has to say?

Don't let it get you down.

Oddly enough.....No!
He has been impressive over a longish period. He is nothing like the person we see on the Sky News Press Preview (which seems to be play acting). I would say he has the most potential of all of the bubbling under presenters. But I think his emotions (one of his strengths) are just getting the better of him.

Have noticed a few callers questioning why the presenters are mocking them with immature responses, naturally they deny it then swiftly end the call.

The topics they choose at times are deadly dull.....Sesame Street (it isn't the 1980s)......Attacks in Germany (thought NF wanted to leave Europe....seems he's obsessed with it)

The Bookmakers all have leaving the EU at 5/2 odds.....with staying at 2/5 so can envisage a lot of tears at LBC come June 24th.....

Don't think they ended up discussing Sesame Street. If they did I must have missed it. Secondly, you might think sexual attacks on that scale are dull, but most people would disagree.

I can understand you don't like Nick Ferrari. After all you seem to make the point day after day. But you still listen, so job done as far as LBC are concerned.

What a refreshing change to hear Andrew Pierce hostng the panel discussion instead of the vapid Ollie Mann. I don't share AP's politics but I've always found him to be one of the best LBC presenters. A good changeover so far.

You're right! As I said in my earlier post, they advertised the segment at the top of the hour but ran out of time. Sounds like the poster in question wasn't listening after all!

I do find it interesting to listen to, I am not attacking or indeed defending anybody....just pointing out how angry the guy gets about things that don't affect the UK population... they trawl the papers looking for titbits

NF is like listening to a Daily Mail audio book.....laughable at times, but nonetheless entertaining....

I can't recall if I liked Andrew Castle when he was previously on LBC. I think I found him a bit dull, but I really enjoyed this morning's show. He had some good guests - John McCririck was interesting. And there were some moving calls in the discussion about the Archbishop's parentage.

Morning all.

I appreciate that, but you did say the topics they pick at times are deadly dull? To my mind most people are busy in the morning and want a fast moving show that can cover serious issues and lighter stuff. Nick Ferrari does this from a particular viewpoint. That viewpoint is influenced by his past in newspapers.

I'm not sure what you think angers him, that doesn't affect the UK population?

KH might have copied that from Steve, "I only say what other people are thinking".
