So? You don't need to be to make a coherent and intellegence point on a radio phone in.
Don't you listen to Nick Abbot?

TBF to James, I've always thought his callers seem to have a higher average IQ than their shoe size.

they are not all intellectuals with PhDs
The caller on now is being given plenty of airtime without interruption and has not claimed to either be an intellectual or be in possession of a PhD.

No gs I have never heard him. Or Steve Allen. Listened to Clive Bull for the first time yesterday. My LBC listening is almost exclusively NF, JOB and a bit of Ken and Dave.

Brian has just told us he is a "metrosexual 44 year old".

Discombobulated alert! Brian has also told us he went to an all boys school. Has there ever been a show where he hasn't mentioned his age and his public all boys school? Ever?

The Money Supermarket - Big Bad Wolf advert is easily my favourite and I hope it lasts as long as the Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes (knees and toes) advert.

JOB has been tough on Boris today , but frankly, Boris waffling on about the British Empire in his apologia in the Daily Telegraph was not the most inspired of ideas. All this prevarication for this feeble piece? What a letdown.

WOW! The last call on the JOB show came straight from the 1970s.

Brian is talking about people getting "cross" with him. Brian lives in a million pound plus house in an 80% white enclave but thinks he is Che Guevara. What on earth is he droning on about now? He's talking about what he finds "politically frustrating". Hilarious stuff.
I don't normally contribute to the love / hate O'Brien discussions, a bit like a hamster on a wheel for me, but the Che Guevara comment is delicious, round of applause.

… except for the fact that it's about the 28th time I've read it on here.
By the way, an excellent film about the early years of Che (if you haven't already seen it) is Motorcycle Diaries. Highly recommended!

Sure sign I don't listen to LBC much these days (or come on here as much as I used to). And yes Motorcyle Diaries is superb

On a trip to Cuba [and I am NOT Tony from Enfield] in a museum I saw a great picture of Che playing baseball back in the day, one very handsome and charismatic young man IMO.

Same here, Venetian.
Groundhog Day surely can't be every day, can it?

With the Gaunty programme having shrunk to 2 hours it does mean that the plunge may be offset a little bit as perhaps a few listeners will tune in to the final hour of the Brian show. I certainly did that today, but I made sure to get into the spirit of looking like a complete wally so I listened via headphones but only over my left ear, with the right cup resting on my head behind my right ear rather than over it.

It has been a few weeks since I last heard him, but perhaps not surprisingly he was still doing the same old nonsense of scoring points off callers while doing the typical lefty-wefty deception of trying to sound like a big-hearted defender of the downtrodden whilst actually espousing ideas which are always corrosive to any society.

Having listened to call after call in praise of of Boris Johnson on Shelagh Fogarty's show , it was a shock
to read this in a normally supportive publication 😅 http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2016/02...ything-phoney/

Yes indeed its just a wonder why so many people vote for him twice voted mayor of London and voted in as an MP.!

Even though his performances on the Nick Ferrari show on LBC are full of inaccuracies and non answers.

Had to laugh at the comment by Jerry Hayes he used to be our MP he was about as useful as a chocolate tea pot what he done for our town Harlow could be listed on the back of a postage stamp.

His colleagues do not believe him. Nicholas Soames called him a liar on Twitter yesterday. Jerry Hayes called him a ‘copper-bottomed, hypocritical little shit.’ The wonder of it is that they may have been understating the case for the prosecution.

I was under the impression that "Guanty" only had a few dozen listeners in the first place!

Y'all realise that the midmorning slot on LBC has just increased it's audience for the fifth quarter on the bounce?

Rather disapointed with both the Ferrari and o'Brien EU offerings today. What I want to hear, is, Exactly how MY life (and those close to me) will differ depending on which way the vote goes. And i'm not hearing this.

Here is the news you will not.

Unless the government appoints an organisation to truthfully give you those answers.

You will not find them on LBC as that does not produce good audience figures.

Each presenter takes a stance good or bad.

The author Nick Cohen is what I would call just left of Centre. He is just as scathing about Jeremy Corbyn.

Highly entertaining article though. Do not underestimate Boris's appeal to the country at large.
