Iain Dale hyped up the interview with the historian who wasn't named until the time of the interview, which was over half an hour after it was announced. The interview seemed to be very short.
Ah yes. However although the interview was short at least the historian knew what he was talking about, i.e. Hitler only said of Palestine being a place for the Jews because of his unaccountable hatred for them. Alternatively "Zionism" was Ken's chosen interpretation, all of which was quite bizarre.

There are a few who do other work outside LBC and never heard any of them taking it to the extreme as Ken Livingstone has done. I expect with his views LBC contract will be terminated. It's not the first time his mouth has got the better of him. I'm sure Global
will be reviewing this and David Mellor will have a view on his Saturday show.
Lately it would seem Global have employed a few controversial characters i.e. Katie Hopkins, Nigel Farage and George Galloway but Ken has gone way past controversial and onto out right racist.

He needs to be sacked immediately.

You may be premature thinking that. Have you not heard the racist/xenophobic bile that comes out of the mouths of other male and female LBC presenters?? I count around 5 anti Muslim and one anti Israel....on the station...
What a load of old tut.

Get over yourself.

How does that work?...Newsnight was presented for many years by Paxman, who is a self confessed Tory supporter. You seriously believe that he would have been happy to put a lefty slant on everything he presented? And being anti-Ukip doesn't automatically imply you must be a raving leftie either.
Paxman left after Katz became editor of Newsnight and it shifted to the left.

I don't think Livingstone is a racist or an anti-semite but he does hold attitudes and beliefs (like Corbyn) sympathetic towards the Palestinian cause and this clouds his judgement.

He just doesn't engage his brain before opening his mouth on this subject.

In addition, Corbyn should have spoke up much earlier about his vile comments. The fact that Sadiq Khan condemned him hours before his suspension speaks volumes of where Corbyn's allegiance really lies.

Bleak days ahead for Labour.

Perhaps LBC will dump all these has-been politicians it uses as presenters and hire proper presenters who can talk about more than westminster and the EU. In fact if they moved away from the constant tedious diet of politics so much the better. Perhaps a saturday morning return to the Fix It Phone-In? Whatever happened to Therese Birch anyway, she just sort of vanished?

BiB. Today J O'B immortalized yet again his cliché, "Shut the door". Do you think he's watching Larry Grayson's DVD's?
FGS why doesn't his producer ask him to 'change the record'?
He can't - he's only got the one. JoB loves to present himself as some sort of considered intellectual but almost all his "arguments" about migrants consist of empathising and appealing to sentiment, there's basically bugger all hard fact behind them. Standard issue fair from those of the left leaning persuation really.

It is strange the Labour Party were criticised for not suspending KL more swiftly.......

LBC yet to comment on Livingstone's future.....maybe we need the Dail Mail to exert their usual pressure......

How about replying to the various posts in reply to your "racist and xenophobic" comment, before you creep back into the shadows.

"Policing by consent". Its a standard fantasy believed by all sides of the political spectrum. If it were true of course then there would be thousands of no-go estates around the UK where the local thugs would have told the police to bugger off. In reality the police are an arm of government and ultimately answer to and take their orders from only it and the courts.

Ken has been kicked out of the Labour Party over his offensive remarks over Jews. I'm sure he will be kicked out of LBC now

I note that presenters have not been referring to KL as their colleague, since yesterday....

Well, apart from JO'B, just now - but only as the means of disparaging KH !!!

Why didn't Ken stick to his gardening, child-care & media career. He just can't help himself !!

He is, absolutely, determined to carry on with his politics. Does he not realise that he is an embarrassment to his, 'best friend' Jeremy......

Nowt but trouble on the LBC news.

Enjoy your Friday, everyone x

Livingstone says no more on Hitler until his radio show. Is LBC entirely comfortable paying him as a presenter after what he said yesterday?

If Ken is a phone-in 'guest' do LBC pay him?

Yesterday, I heard both Shelagh and Ian Collins mention about Ken being on air at 10am tomorrow (Saturday). Although Shelagh did hesitate as presumably her producer told her that he wasn't presenting the programme! JO'B this morning said that Michael Crick was co-presenting while we are in this purdah period.

Good points, Martin - I'd forgotten that.
I wonder if this will be Ken's swan song?

A Tweet from George Galloway ....

'Btw where are all the "Je suis Charlie" brigade when it comes to Ken Livingstone right to "freedom of speech"? '

At least he's TalkRadio's problem these days.

Obviously rather missing the point that nobody tried to stop livingstone saying it in the frst place by massacring him and his colleagues. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from all consequences.

Check out LBC website the reporters were at Ken L doorstep trying to get some comments. All he said his next interview will be on his Saturday show ( Tomorrow) with David. So he's suspended by the Labour Party and now return to LBC to voice his o

Talk of free speech is a bit rich coming from somebody who has a reputation on Twitter for blocking anybody who doesn't come across as a grovelling sycophant.

Who'd have thought George Galloway and Steve Allen would have had anything in common ?

Don't forget the fact that they're both baldies and both spout a lot of nonsense!
