Vallen is full of misinformation. This morning he said that the Fairfield Halls were being pulled down or demolished but if my research is correct, this is yet another example of his jumbled thoughts.
Fairfield Halls are closing in June or July for a complete £30m refurbishment and from what I have read this didn't mean it was being razed to the ground. However it is an extensive refurb with changes to the booking halls and entrances and re-kitting the auditorium etc. All long overdue of course, to this now out-dated '60s venue.
I'm going to my final concert there next Wednesday evening to an RPO concert.

What about the celebrity couple, where the judges reserved judgement as to whether their names could be published. (is there anybody that doesn't know who they are?).

Nick began his programme by saying he didn't understand the reason for election purdah. He desperately tried to make up for it this morning, but has failed dismally - especially his questioning of the rabbis, who didn't react as he would have liked to his baited 'leading the witness' tactics.
Their responses were far too reasoned, inclusive, knowledgeable and intellectual for our tabloid warrior.

I can only speak for London but there are two main reasons. (I have two close relatives who work for homeless charities here.)

1. Being homeless/jobless is more attractive here (or presumably Italy) than back home ie there are more charities willing to help.
2. Loss of face. If they have left with high hopes of being a success, they wont return home and have to admit they didn't make it. Often going as far as sending home photos of luxury flats/cars to prove how successful they are here.

I'd forgotten it too. Probably because the story is as ephemeral as a candle in the wind. Steve was going on about another one this morning, that's banned from UK papers - something about a married celeb and Wayne Rooney's hooker! What a time to be alive!

Didn't hear either of those but I did hear Fanny "I don't know why my diabetes is so out of control" Allen talking about eating Turkish Delight before the 4am (blood sugar) spike. Probably about 70%+ sugar content.

By comparison, sandwich spread at about 15% sugars and Marmite at 17% are positively healthy.

What a chump.

Also, having relatives in the new location that can help support them while they get established.
