Samsung LED TV

We have a Samsung LED TV - 39F5300 and have problems with the audio. Wanted to alter the equaliser slightly and have found that where it is located, we cannot do it.

We have the sound list, but 'Sound Effects' is not highlighted, so unable to load. All the other sound labels are fine - they are all highlighted.

The 2 words 'Sound Effects' is feint.......anyone know how we can get it highlighted. We have tried Sound Reset, but to no avail.

Are you using the TV's built in speakers or an external audio system of some sort? These options are likely to be only available if using the TV Speakers.

Using TV own speakers...

Is there a Sound Mode or similar option in the menu? That might have options for different preset equaliser settings and may only allow other adjustments if it is set to Standard or Normal or similar setting.

Might just be a case of trying changing a few other settings options to see if any of them enable the Sound Effects setting. Of course it might be the hardware in the telly doesn't support any of the features in this Sound Effects menu so can't be selected anyway, though you do wonder why it would be there if that were the case.

I agree...I may contact Samsung UK and see if they can help in the morning...or it may be a case of resetting the TV from the beginning.

Might be.
I have checked on my samsung (different model) and that option is only available if tv speakers are selected, so as the OP has this, it might not be an option as you suggest above.
