Unresponsive remote... yeah, that's what you get with a piece-of-crap £40 soundbar. Do you really think that that an equally cheap and crappy £40 soundbar from some other manufacturer isn't going to have issues too?

Perhaps if you are that budget constrained you'd be better off either saving a bit more or looking at eBay for second hand or refurbished stuff?

Perhaps this place: http://www.cheapestelectrical.co.uk/...query=soundbar

which has both a Roth and a Sony one for £ 80?

Either would be better than the £ 40 Goodmans.

Yes Maybe look at that although way over my Budget means adding £40 onto my Refund of £37.99.

Understood - but the fact is a £ 40 soundbar is a a £ 40 soundbar - it really doesn't matter which one you buy - they'll be built to a budget - and may even be the same one just with a different brand name stamped on it.

An alternative approach might be to use a set of PC speakers - something like http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/comput...pid=display~RR

admittedly not as neat as a soundbar - but likely to be better overall in terms of performance - certainly better than pretty much any in- built TV speakers.

I use the Roth Subzero II on the games room tv for the kids, can't fault it for the price.

There's one on Ebay going for £45 or best offer with free p&p.

There's a Veho sound bar available for about £50-£60. I'd give that a go but, as mentioned, pay peanuts and you get monkeys.

Save your pennies longer until you can get something of a higher quality.

So it is, how did I miss that.

I'd get in touch and see if there was a possibility of arranging postage myself.
