Sony; "The Xperia Z line has reached its culmination – Xperia X series represents a new chapter and evolution of our product strategy."

Wonder if there will be a compact X?

The X Performance isn't being released in the UK. Yes, Sony are onto a winner here.

Have the realised that releasing a new flagship every 6 months is an absurd strategy. Took them long enough.

Compact? They have 5" screens, you can't get more compact than that. They need to bring a premium model out with a 5.7" screen.

The Sony Z1, Z3 and Z5 compacts were smaller than 5".

The Z's were great phones from Z2-z5.

When I got a Z2 it really felt like my first "special" phone since I got my first iPhone 3gs.

Has really good features (NC Headphones, water resistant, nice front facing speakers, actually useful Sony Apps). They one thing that o don't like about it is it's heaviness which is very noticeable when you carry around an S5.

The z3 compact is an all time classic for a mini android phone.

I was a bit disappointed with the Z5's as didn't seem much of an improvement, still good though.

The power button on the Z5 series was horrible, a huge step back IMO. The phones were solid though.

In what way was it horrible?

I have had awful problems with the Z2. The USB charging port stopped working inside 18 months which Sony refused to fix under warranty. I have had to use the magnetic charging port but since using that my battery now will charge to 100% but as soon as it goes below to 70% will power off. Not to mention the glass back cracks by simply being in your pocket as well as the dodgy waterproof and Sony's mixed messages on what constitutes to a waterproof device.

Wont be getting another Sony phone after such a bad experience.
